Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
You mean like TacoDane who called BeeRad and specifically asked him assembly and parts details about the hood lighting kit BeeRad was already selling? And then came up with a design identical to it? And then started selling them for less than BeeRad? You mean like that?

(BeeRad has my permission to sell something I invented. TacoDane does not).

I'm still in for the Hidden version if one ever does come to fruition.

I just want to be able to open the window on occasion via push button.

I agree with MurphMan that it's a matter of ethics. Before we even get to discussing patents and lawyers, it would fundamentally be in poor taste to duplicate parts designed by somebody else on this tight-knit community of TW and sell them for profit. It's one thing to carry the torch of an idea that has already been established, but it's quite another to make blatant rip-offs of part designs and sell them for a profit. Like I said, I'm more than happy for folks to come up with their own system and sell it. I simply ask that you don't replicate the parts that I designed and sell them for a profit. It's a simple and humble request, and I think anyone with half a conscience would honor it.

By the way, just so we are clear, the parts that I am referring to are the components of my full-hidden window mod kit that hasn't even been released yet (however there are photos and videos floating around this thread and elsewhere).

I am NOT referring to the parts of the original mod kit that I was selling at the beginning of this thread (as depicted on page one of this thread). That original kit consists almost entirely of parts and materials that are readily available for anyone to purchase from a variety of sources and there is really not any intellectual property of mine in that kit. If someone wants to assemble and sell a kit using those parts from the original kit, have at it as far as I'm concerned. I will tell you that it's a time consuming and negligibly profitable venture.

Im really interested in this. If you still have some brackets left, what else would be needed to complete the kit?

This World was built on people taking other's ideas and either improving on them or just producing something that someone who created it is not willing to do.

In fact, there really is no such thing as an original idea. You may think you're the first, you just thought of it now.

And I'm pretty sure there's been power sliding rear windows available as an option on trucks for years now. Not a new idea, just a new way to go about it. Maybe.
