    If anyone interested....i was able to complete this mod completely hidden using all the parts (including the track) from the honda ridgeline motor. All without modifiying the cables from the motor

    Nice work! Welcome to Tacoma World. Nice first set of posts. Now, the questions. How much does the Ridgeline set-up run? Where did you source it? Any chance you are putting together a step by step, how to, set of instructions so the rest of us can just copy what you did? o_O:thumbsup:

    I purchased the honda ridegeline motor from ebay which was selling for 69$ US but made an offer and got it for 60$.

    I got the window bracket from kgarrett11 (a tacomaworld member) for 49$ US

    I got a rear window sliding toggle switch from a 2006 thundra on ebay for 23$ Us

    Bought a peice of 4x6 inches , 3/8 thick tefflon (only could find white) for 4$ CAN

    A throttle motorcycle cable (good quality, flexible, stainless steel) from a local motorcycle shop 10$ CAN but the shop said it was a leftover 4 wheeller double cable that retailled for 60$. This cable was about 3 feet long that I cut to 32 inches

    Then i bought a bicycle thightner from the local bike shop 3$ CAN

    I will try my best to put a step by step but it may take a while

    This is awesome! Finally, someone pieced a sliding back window motor! If i may make a suggestion? Besides doing a write up, I would like to suggest also a video and post it up on youtube. =)

    Crap. i just realized I installed a molle panel in the back seat. I also added sound deadner and covered it off with headliner material. So I might have screwed myself on this....

    This is nothing new here guys I did not re invent the wheel .... ALL the hard work has been done by the founder...BenWa..... And others who took his idea and modified it. I just read ALL the posts and took some ideas here and there. The one thing i did create was comming up with a way to hide the motor using the existing alluminum track without having to open the motor and mess with the original cables. The alluminum track acts as en cable extender so that the passenger side cable is long enough considering where the motor is placed.

    Only thing needed is an extra good quality cable about 32inches long ( Motorcycle throttle cable stainless and flexible)

    I wont be doing a youtube install as i already installed mine however if some of you want me to i can make a word document step by step including photos of how i did it but it may take a while. There are already some good videos of the install in this discussion thread post # 1283. I would stongly advise someone that wishes to do this to start to read from post 1190 and on up to at least 1283

    Everything you said is absolutely true. All the bits and pieces to this mod have been out there forever but what has been missing is what you have offered, a clear, concise write-up with up to date info regarding sourcing available parts at reasonable prices so people like myself do not have to experiment with different possible solutions until we find one that works. The other tidbit that makes your install unique and desirable is that you have found a motor that can be installed behind the trim panels without having to trim those panels in order for everything to fit nicely. This mod has been on my radar for years but I have never found the time to sit down and put the pieces together to come up with a working solution. Speaking for myself, take your time, considering the temps outside and no garage, heated or unheated, I will not be doing this mod for awhile. But I can always collect the parts and prepare for the install. Thanks for taking the time to share your "solution" and to offer a nice write-up about it. :bowdown::cheers:

    Now we wait patiently! :thumbsup::playball::popcorn:

    Thanks man... I figured I will contribute to the best of my knowledge since I was able to read up on what others have done which has made this possible for me. So I have decided to return the favor

    A couple things not related to the this thread. If you have not done so yet, you should take a moment to go to the new member section and introduce yourself. And two, it generally is a good idea to "quote" the person you are replying to. This thread is not moving very fast but quoting who you are replying to makes it much easier to follow the conversation. It also allows someone who is picking up on the conversation in the middle to be able to trace it backwards so they can understand what has been said.

    Cheers!:thumbsup:

    @Poitrasbh Do you have a part # for the ridgeline motor you used? Did you use a motor from a 1st or 2nd gen Ridgeline?

    @Toy4me Mine came off a 2008 Honda Ridgeline but the ebay posting said it 2006 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 Honda Ridgeline Back Glass window regulator (interchange part Number 185-50102)
    Hope this helps

    @Toy4me @Toy4me

    I had to search for some time to find this specific motor regulator. I just entered into google the following: honda ridgeline back glass regulator and was able to find a lot mor than just doing the search on ebay.
    This pic has the item # listing at the lower right hand corner and it comes with the plug in

    Thanks so much. That’ll make searching easier. I just kept finding regulators for door glass. Just paid @kgarrett11 for a bracket (thanks for making these available Kyle). Gonna get all my parts bought and ready for a spring install. Can’t believe the switch is like $50. Guess all in this will be about a $250 mod and worth every cent.

    @ACEkraut @Toy4me Anyone interested might want to move fast on theses as they might disapear quick especially after they see the method of not having to mess with the motor regulator
