Holly blast from the past, I installed the BenWaa kit in my ‘15 OR, and loved it. I didn’t have to do anything, my “kit” I purchased a decade ago had everything ready to go, was a fairly involved, but easy install.

    Goodness this brings back memories.

The OP says it’s obsolete and has been modified significantly. Is there a new thread, or is there no replacement for this mod? I would love to do something like this when I can afford it.

    Blast from the past indeed!

I saw another member is selling brackets for this as a DIY mod. With his bracket I believe you could purchase any number of power window regulators that would work with some minor modification (I used the Honda Ridgeline ones but that was somewhat arbitrary, as there are many others that would also work).

I also suggest making some simple “L” brackets by modifying small angle brackets you can get in the hardware section of Home Depot. These brackets would screw onto each end of the window channel. The L brackets would get a hole drilled into one side which gets threaded to accept a metal bicycle barrel adjuster so the cable can get tensioned once installed. I will try to post a pic for folks to refer to so they can fab their own quite easily.
