I'm hangin' in there. I'm in that funky spot where I'm not motivated to do anything. It sucks because I've got projects I need to finish up. I'd rather derp on TW and Amazon, and that's not a good trend (from my wallet's perspective).

But I finally made progress on my bike last night! It's been on the jack for almost 2 weeks now, and the weather couldn't be more perfect :annoyed:

The rear flange bearing and one of the rear wheel bearings ripped themselves to shreds (not to mention they're the original bearings, so they ended up rusting themselves to the hub :frusty:). I used one of those bearing puller tools from Autozone, and ended up shearing one of the puller arms off because they were so difficult to get out. Eventually got them out, but MAN were they a b!tch to remove!!!

Shredded metal between the flange collar and the flange. As well as the destroyed inner flange bearing

    20170806_162101.jpg

Then the wheel bearing was the biggest headache!!!

I'd love to get a dirt bike! I'm seriously considering sell the VTX and getting something more sporty. Dual sports look like fun, but so does the FZ-07 :bikewheelie2:

It looks like the frame settlement went through, but I'm one of those in limbo because mine's a Canadian import, and may not qualify as a "Subject Vehicle." I'll update this when I can, but here's the request I have sent:

"Short version: Is my Tacoma that was imported from Canada and sold by U.S. dealership included?

I have a 2005 Tacoma (VIN: 5TEMU******) that looks like it would qualify for this settlement. But, from what I can find from service records, the truck was sold in Canada in 2005, and later purchased/imported by a U.S. dealership in early 2016. I then purchased it from a different U.S. dealership on July 3rd, 2016. I don't know if this is considered a "Subject Vehicle" or not.

I also noticed that the CRC was applied to the frame at some point in the truck's life, but it has since failed and there is a fairly decent amount of surface rust, so an inspection should be in order.

Finally, I am a member of a large Tacoma Enthusiast group, and there are several other members in the same situation that I am in. Where do our Canadian-imported Tacomas fit into this lawsuit? Are we included? And what options do we have if we are not?

Thank you so much for all of the time and hard work that was put into this!"

Hopefully our Canadian trucks are included :fingerscrossed:

Trucks looking good. Got a few caught up on your build page. How do you like your Midland? Got my eye a CB down the road. Is that your FZ?

    Thanks, man!

I really like no Midland. It cleaned up the driver's footwell a lot, and it performs just as good (If not better) than a basic CB. And it has way more useful features. The best part is, is that it's so small. I can hide it when not in use, or slap on the battery pack and jump into another vehicle with it. I'm planning on upgrading to a HAM radio later, so the Midland would serve perfectly as a small, backup CB.

I WISH that was my FZ!!!! I'm still riding the VTX, but I'm window shopping for an FZ (either the 07 or 09) :bikewheelie2:

    Doing pretty good!

I got a "promotion" at work last week. More of a lateral move/title change. No pay increase, but definitely a lot more responsibilities! The upside, though, is that I have a LOT of exposure in the company. But again, the downside is that I'll be super busy. I was already taking a step back from TW and social media, but now I may be completely absent at times.
