They seem to have equal traction (better in the rain) but are quieter as they wear.

My BFGs were quiet new but got louder as they wore.

So far, the Wildpeaks are still quiet after ~10k.

My buddy who owns a tire shop recommended them highly so I gave them a try.

I've got Duratracs and they are loud. I like them in the snow but they seem to have less traction in the wet than a previous set I had (different vehicle and a wider tire). I'm interested in what folks say here. I might shift to a larger size but milder tread when I replace.

I really loved my duratracs in the snow/offroad and i loved how they looked.

Yes, wet traction was shit and they were very loud on hwy, will not buy again, unless i live in alaska or something.

I like the KO2's. I owned several on several different trucks. I am in a lot of sand where they are AMAZING. And they work great in the mud. They'll probably be my next tire when I upgrade over stock.

I had duratracs for a while and thought they were amazing and quiet on the highway. Good wet traction too, not the best but its a damn mud tire what do you expect. I don't agree with people saying duratracs are loud. I didn't hear anything, for a mud tire thats really good. For the best of both worlds I dont see how a tire can get better than the duratracs. 60k mileage warranty too.
I have nitto ridge grapplers now 33x11.8 and they are really good wet/dry and highway. Have not taken them offroad but theyre supposed to be pretty good. Probably not in mud though.

If you want to make sure youre getting thru mud and snow id say duratracs.
If you arent gonna go too crazy offroad id say nitto ridge graps

    Work in progress...
After researching, I went with the Hankook Dynapro. Dynapro was the lightest AT tire in the size and price range that I found.

For mostly highway driving but capable on dirt trails I would say Cooper AT3 XLT. Its the quietest All terrain tire I have had. Falken AT3W's are a second choice but they are louder and heavier.

My duratracs made a humming noise on the hwy, surprised yours were quiet.
I had 265/75/16s E load. Also, duratracs are not a true mud tire, its a hybrid.

Ridgegrapplers in SL load... run them in a 285/70/17 and still get 19+mpgs on the hwy

These are my final 2 choices I've narrowed it down for my new 2020 I ordered 2 months ago. Now if it would just ever get here. :annoyed:

My last set of tires was the bfg KOs and they were pretty great tires. Mostly quiet, seemed to handle almost all conditions pretty well, didn't affect my mpgs too terribly bad, and last forever. However, the nitro ridge grapplers I'm running now seem superior in pretty much every way to the bfgs.

For a true, jack of all trades tire, I can’t recommend enough the Cooper Discover AT3-4s. Available in SL, or if you’d prefer heavier duty/stiffer then you can step up to the LT or XLT.

285/70R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Quiet but now i average 18 mpg highway versus 19-20 prior.

I've had Nitto Terra Grapplers (2 sets) and Hankook Dynapro A/T (on 2nd set now). Very pleased with both. Was running 295/70 R17's until this last set I bought I seen there was about a $300/set reduction in price if I stepped down to 285/70's. Can't say I can tell a difference at all. I had BFG AT KO's on my 1st Gen and they were great also.

Im considering grapplers for my next set. They are not rated as winter tire though correct?

went with the Copper AT3 LT E range exactly for this. been through two sets of ST Maxx and now two sets AT3 LT, both same size and E range. the AT3 are better in the wet and with braking, and they are not much less capable than the Maxx off road. same tire carcass, but the AT3 LT are a bit firmer on the road due to less void in the tread pattern.
