So I have had a bunch of issues with the way the back seat is set up. I have a german shepherd and there is no where for his 80 pound @*% to be. Every corner i hit he is bouncing around between the jump seats and the floor.

Not any more. I found the perfect $18 dollar fix. :D

    Particle board. 2ft W 4ft L
Roll of carpet ( colored to your liking) 2.5 ft w 4.5 L
Last but not least a staple gun and a hammer to make the staples flush.

You have to cut a little bit of the wood to compensate for the middle console and an inch off of one of the sides to make a perfect fit.

make sure the wood piece fits perfectly into place. and then wrap carpet around and staple onto the bottom of board.

I use a tool box and a couple of chairs and a shovel to even out the jump seats to the floor board. More cargo space and flatter back seat.:)

My dog now has a perfect 2 by 4 platform to travel on. no more getting tossed around. I can just about lay down on it.:p

Looks really clean! Might want to add some legs in the front and corners and center for stability, just a thought

I did the same thing, but built some legs for it, rather than jamming crap under there haha. I'm gona build a new one with a hinge in the middle on the bottom so I can still get to my things :)

yeah definitely some legs would make it much sturdier, and that was my initial plan. When I put things that i frequently use underneath it as support I was satisfied. ..... or maybe i just got lazy. haha =)

That is a good idea! Mine is far from permanent. It only weighs like 8 lbs, so I figure I can just take it out when I need to get to things, or add some passengers other than my dog. haha

I've been thinking of doing something similar for my truck for when I need to pack for a trip...never fails that things slide off of the seats and make it impossible to get the seats forward and back without running into something. I have the 60/40 bench though so mine would be slightly different.
