Best 265/75/R16 tire for wet pacific northwest roads (not snow, getting dedicated snow tires), in a P, LT or Load Rating C. GO!

I've read the Michelin LTX M/S2 is awesome on wet roads A/T 2 is good on wet and decent on dirt, but I can't find it in anything other than load rating E.... wtf.

Here are the only ones I know in that load rating and size, but not specific to wet pacific northwest driving:

Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac Load C. (Loud, heavy, aggressive tire).
Wild Country XTX 4 ply. (probably loud, bad reviews, aggressive tire).
BF Goodwrench AT TA KO 2 6 ply. (Heavy, aggressive, seen bad reviews, expensive).
Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10 P rated. (I'm leaning to this tire, just want to know how it does on wet roads..)
Cooper Discoverer ATP or AT3? (Don't know much about it, how does it do in wet?)

    Thanks,

Just checked tread depot and the Toyo open country AT II comes in a C rating.

I really like my Wrangler Duratracs in the rain, I use Load C in that size.

I dont find them heavy or loud.

My truck is loud as hell regardless and coming from BFG Mud Terrains the Duratracs are an amazing road handling tire.

MS2's are best for pavement traction hands down, and they are available in P rated. I have the LT (10 ply) on my truck and I don't find them too stiff for what it's worth. I find them very smooth and the extra tread depth and puncture resistance of the 10 ply is nice.

    E-load is LT

Just get the MS/2's and be done. They're fabulous. Tacoma's only need P rated... which can be had in your desired size

He had said he only wants LT if they are c load. I agree though the 10 ply are tits.

    Didn't see that requirement mentioned

    10 ply's on a Tacoma are a waste...

unless you are looking for something agressive looking / good in dirt / deep stuff.

the MS2's have simply BLOWN me away in ice and light snow driving, i have yet to find another tire work as well on ice, i have yet to have my hankook rf10's in ice however, though reports and with as much siping as they have they should do damn good as well.

Love the BFG Rugged Terrain (not the Rugged Trail OEM crap) that I have on my Tundra. Quiet, good in the rain & snow and not bad in light off road. Available in P and LT sizes. I'm running the P 265/70/17's on my 02 Tundra with an average gvw of almost 6k (work truck). They are for me far better than the BFG AT's that I ran for about 100k before I got these. Have about 20k on them so far and they are doing well.

    I agree. I wish someone made a 285/75/16 in a 6 ply C-load.

I have the M/S 2's. Best all-weather tire I've had. Never broken traction, quiet and look decent as far as all-seasons go. Great warranty, customer support and after 15,000km they still look brand new. I live in Vancouver, and it's rains more often than the sun shines.

Never touched mud or deep snow with them, but they surprised me even on loose gravel logging roads. :)

I have the Cooper AT3s. 255/75r17. Been a great tire now for 25,000 miles. Excellent traction in rain / standing water. I've run them from 26-40 psi and have at 31 now after numerous chalk test.

    I would buy these again.

If you're looking for a great do it all AT tire the Firestone Destination AT's are great tires. I had really good luck with 2 sets over the course of about 80K miles. First set lasted 60K, the next set looked almost perfect when I took them off after 20K for something bigger.

The Duratrac's are great tires as well but over kill unless you're doing some serious offroading. Personally I think they're better rain tires out there.

My Bridgestone revo2 are pretty solid. From what I've read the m/s 2's or Hankooks will be my next tire though
