Howdy! I’m wanting to know what y’all recommend in terms of car seats to fit in the back of my 2001 extended cab Tacoma. I took the folding seat out and have the cup holder up, and am currently using an infant car seat. I’m looking to upgrade to something bigger so I don’t have to lug this kids car seat every time I try to get him out of the truck. I also am trying to keep the front seat available, for use, so one that allows a little bit of leg room in the passenger seat would be awesome. TIA!

    4 run, 2 don't
    Get another vehicle.

@eon_blue can chime in possibly; his little one is 3 but he too just added a 3rd vehicle for that very reason.

Extended cabs are just not child-friendly at all.

Yeah, a 3rd vehicle isn’t really an option for us unfortunately. We’ve been doing really good with the infant car seat for the last 11 months, I just want him in something taller/comfier so he can look outside and sleep better on the road. I’m just not ready to forward face him yet. We do have an 89 Camry but my husband uses it for work mostly, and it also doesn’t have any anchors or ratching seat belts whatsoever so the Tacoma is safest in terms of that.
