I'm looking to lift my 2001 Tacoma. I've been looking at a few different kits. EZ Lift, Pro Comp, Cornfed and Fab Tech... Just wondering what's a good buy for the money and won't ride terrible?

Have you tried reading the other threads in here asking the same question?

Any spacer lift will be alright on the road, maybe a little rough.

5100s are a good start, OME is also good. If you have more money and plan to offroad a lot check out the mid travel section

I'm also in the market for a 3" lift on my 2003...Here are the two main questions:

    - What do you plan to use the lift for?

    - What are you willing to spend?

With low miles on my truck, 50,000, I'm not sure that I'll go for the full suspension lift off the bat. Meaning 2" Leaf Spring Package, Bilstein 5100's all around, Eibach 3" Lift Springs. I don't do a TON of off roading and I'm not going mudding but I do have 32" tires that rub often enough and I get out on dirt trails almost every weekend so I'm not in the market for a coilover lift or a $1000 & up lift. I've put so much thought into that I may just get a starter lift from Toytec that's about $400. Then I can spend another $200 on a nice skid plate!

For my budget - Toytec has two different options:

    3” lift kit w/ OME front coils & Toytec AAL - $350

    3" spacer lift kit w/ Bilstein 5100 Rear Shocks & Toytec AAL - $460

    3" Bilstein 5100's Front & Rear, Toytec AAL, 3/4" Top Front Spacer - $525
**I'm still searching to see if my stock springs will allow for the 5100's to be set at 2.5" in the front with a 3/4" spacer on top.
    Spacers - http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Front-Top-Plate-Spacer-Kit_p_333.html
    AAL - http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Rear-ToyTec-Add-A-Leafs_p_303.html
    Bilstein 5100's - http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com...ont-shocks-and-matching-rear-shocks_p_94.html

There are also two other lifts in the $600-$800 section. Such as complete OME & complete Bilstein w/ Eibach Springs

Spacer lifts allow the suspension to bottom out BEFORE hitting the bump stops. Eventually, it leads to catastrophic failure of the front struts(per Billstein's site).

Save your money, and get a better kit. You will be much happier, in the long run!
