    Good Morning Everyone!

Just recently purchased my Third Gen Tacoma, I am looking for a best bang 3" lift kit. As I know a lot of lift kits for the Third Gen are still in development stage, I figured I would start something now.

As I have tried searching for a thread to help me out on making a decision on a all around 3" lift. I am having difficulty narrowing down to one particular thread, so I decided to start one here.

I have also included a voting section above to kind of get an idea of where everyone is leaning.

    Thanks,

All the Toyota dealerships here in Canada are trying to sway me away from the Bilsteins and into the Toytec Boss 2.0's….but want to charge me $2700, so I'm going to sit on it for a bit.

Crazy, my Toyota Dealerships do not even install lift kits. They redirect me to a third party vendor.

Icon and fox and King will all only give you 0-2" of lift. Probably OME as well. And all of these are your best bet if you plan on wheeling your truck

Looks like Boss is the only kit so far which actually gives you 3". Any review on the Boss Kit.

I doubt it actually gives 3. Could be wrong though.

If it gives 3" on the 2nd gens, it gives 2" on the 3rd gens.
--is there any way TW could just use that sentence as a disclaimer while entering the 3rd gen section!?!?

From what I'm looking at, I can get the bilstein 6112 with 5160s in the rear, AAL, with the diff drop, sway bar relocation, carrier bearing drop, AAL pins, and u bolts for right around $1300 (ish). is this a good route to go? or should I just spend the money on a toytec 2.0 kit at that point?

Oh sorry. That's the way I'm leaning. By the time they research all these new kits my truck will be old with lots of miles lol

For the most part, all the kits like Icon / Boss / OME / Bilstein are 2" lift

soooo many decisions.... I'll probably just go the bilstein 6112 route with the 5160s in the rear.

do I need the diff drop, carrier bearing drop, and sway bar relocation? it's not much extra and would probably be safer to buy them and not need them.

my current setup is currently giving me 3 1/4" on driver side and 3 5/8" on passenger. I'll be lowering it some in a few weeks after suspension settles and when i get my skids plates on.
