Water nor snow affects the velcro. Have rolled/unrolled it soaking wet plenty of times. And there is a hook & loop on each side that holds the cover when it’s rolled.

Ok, will all these covers fit with plastic bed shell and the track system?

I have a Pace Edwards Switchblade. It’s a roller and has held up very well with heavy snow and winds in Chicago. The one I have isn’t below $350, so you may want to check out some of PE’s folding covers or that Tyger everyone seems to recommend.

What I’m getting at is that a quality made roller should hold up fine. Mine is just a little sun bleached but I can live with that. Just don’t get a completely soft roller. (There are aluminum rails running through mine for added support) Never had any issues using it in temperatures below zero either. However, if you’re looking into folding covers only you don’t even have to worry about the bearings.

OK, previous owner put this notch in the rail a bowl sides near the rear of the bed. Looking at the original purchase receipt, he had a bed cover on the truck. With this notchC98ADD00-DC2E-4075-8AAE-4B788EB9B693.jpg affect installing another cover?. Any ideas why he did this?. Again thank you

Most likely. The brackets for the cover to clamp onto need to be near the end of the rail. You might need to replace your bed rails.

Not to my knowledge. This is where the brackets need to go.469A569C-58BF-4C11-8328-CE117C598E6A.jpg

I'd start looking on your regional forums, craigslist, facebook marketplace, etc. for good deals on used covers.

water/snow dont mess with the velcro still works/sticks good. and theres two straps up front that hold it once rolled up

yeah i was trying to find one that would still work with the tool box in the bed and luckily this cover clears it

The Tyger fit without any modifications. I imagine the Gator does as well. On my Tyger you just slide that end cap off the rail and the bracket piece slides in and is secured with a set screw. End cap snaps back into place. No cutting, drilling, hacking, etc.
