Just put a set of Toyo Open Country ATII's. Love them so far. Not noisy at all. Ride is smooth. I had a set of the original AT's and like them so I decided to try them again. I usually go with BFG AT's because I got over 70k miles out of 3 different sets but these tires were about $50 cheaper so I went back to Toyo's. Not of fan of duratracs. Too loud and wear too fast. I drive 20+k a year.

The ST is being discontinued, replaced by the ST Maxx. I run the ST Maxx in 255/85R16, awesome tire. No complaints, best A/T I have ever used.

Realling liking my Toyo AT2's. They have been great in the snow and ice all winter.

Ive been looking into tires for a couple months now, and from what I've gathered about the Firestone Destination AT's it seems full size truck owners have had a poor experience while smaller truck and SUV owners love them. Maybe there is something to that...

Also, I agree, its about practicality and usage. Get the tire you need for where you take your truck. If you have a truck for looks (like lots of kids here in SoCal) then get whatever the hell you want since you likely don't care about mileage or capability.

I think my MTRs are can be classified as an all terrain tire,
They are quieter then I expected.
They do way WAY better in sand than expected.
They do ride rougher, and, well look cool.

I don't see this. TR has had 1612 reviews of the Destination AT and it has the number one rating at 8.65 out of 10 across all makes/sizes of trucks. IMHO the anecdotal review of one truck owner in comparision to this size of survey response is totally worthless.

I just got my second set of these put on. Hankook DynaPro ATM, 265/75/16. These have a wider tread than most 265 profile tires, more like what a 285 has touching the ground. Rated 50K mile warranty, I got 73K out of the last set. Rotated religiously and PSI at 30 front, 28 rear.

I dont disagree, just an observation from reading the reviews. Anyway, I was set on them but now the Cooper ATP at discount tire has caught my attention as well.

    Not much.
I like the Toyo AT2s w/ extreme tread. Quiet and good traction on/off-road. However, will be going with 35" MTRs next

Michelin LTX AT2 have been outstanding in snow and ice this winter. Also very comfortable, quiet ride and zero hydroplaning. Just hitting 5k mark and tread looks brand new. Perfect for those who don't want an aggressive looking AT tire!

I have goodyear wrangler authority's from walmart. Basically the walmart version of the duratrac. Over 1000 miles on them and the only complaint is the techs at Walmart suck. They weren't balanced the first time, so I took it back and they have them a lot better, but its still not perfect

I have the Hankook Dynapro ATM. Haven't really abused them off road (muddy parking lots, aka, fields on a local farm), some light fire roads, rain, some sleet), over about 30K miles and still going strong. Don't look very aggressive (well, they did new) but the price is pretty good and they have the snowflake rating on the side. See the pics on the prior page for what they look like. I keep them around 35 PSI and get around 18-22 MPG, which is better than the 16 or so I got off BFG's (granted, E load)

That being said, I might buy those Walmart brand tires next time, just for kicks.

I've got these as well. The seem to be wearing/performing decently so far. Had the same issue with them not balancing well initially but they're fine now. Walmart has a lifetime balance so you can just have them re-do it until they get it right, or get them road forced somewhere else.

My truck is stock for the most part, and I'm running 265/70/17 C tires on the stock Sport wheels. They give it a nice stance/appearance with no lift. I used to be a big fan of the BFG ATs, but after multiple sets on different vehicles they all seem to wear out pretty quickly.
