For a 3 leaf AALs, those are your only 2 options.

Just so I understand. You guys recommend 1.75 up front and 2" AAL in the rear to get a rake?

The whole purpose of rake is so the truck can sit level with a load. I know it's a matter of personal preference but to me leveling a truck is pointless unless you want to stare at the sky everytime you need to haul something.

In case you couldn't tell, I also kept the factory rake when I lifted.

They're made by different companies but are very similar. I have the Icon version and have been very happy with it (I can't remember who makes Icon's AAL but I believe Deaver makes the Wheeler's version).

I had to trim off the factory leaf pack retainers to install the Icon AAL, otherwise the AAL would have rubbed on them. I don't believe you need to do this step with the Wheeler's version but someone will have to confirm.

As far as ride quality, I've heard good things from both AALs.

Not that I'm aware of. I have no personal experience with the Wheeler's version but I have yet to hear anything negative about either one. The reviews from multiple usere for both AALs seem to say generally the same thing. I went with Icon because of the free shipping from Downsouth Motorsports. That was my only deciding criteria.

wonder wher the wheelers HD 3 leaf sits into all this? they say it is more designed for the doublecabs and those expecting to haul or tow large loads frequently. I wonder if the Icons are similar to the wheelers standard or HD pack?

Where are you finding an HD 3-leaf AAL?

I checked Wheeler's site and didn't see that listed, only their standard 3-leaf progressive AAL.

the wheelers guy told me about it but didnt say how it compared to the icon just that they had an hd version of the 3pack for 10 bucks more. little firmer ride and little more load capable..thats all the info i got about them. didnt know if someone maybe had more insight.

yeah i thought about that..... just not sure that is the route i wanna take. mainly wanting to get rid of the single aal i have now to go with a 3pack so i get a better ride and when i get to do the occasional wheeling a bit more flex to keep the wheels on the ground. dont know how much "firmer" they are talking about but he did mention that it should still be a better ride than the single just merely because of the progressive setup. now to make my choice??????

I looked at wheelers 1.5" 3 leaf progressive leaf pack. Is that price for one or for a set of 2?

AAL's are priced as a pair. Not sure about the Wheeler's version but the Icon comes with new U-bolts and centering pins.
