I had the set up for about a week. The rasp between 3-4k at low to mid throttle was not very pleasant. When you floor it, does sound great though. I swapped it out when my aFe ypipes came in, and I am satisfied with it.

I think is funny that people talk smack about mods being done to rigs other than their own. It looks like you upgraded the wheels on your truck. Was that a performance based upgrade or did you just like them? I put an after market Cat Back because I wanted to hear my shit and maybe promote a little more air flow. I would love to get headers down the line and a Magnuson Supercharger. But for now, I will enjoy my upgraded fart box.
    Thank you for your service!!

I recently added the R4T high clearance, and so far I am pleased with it. I tried the axle dump mbrp and I hated it. It was way too loud, I felt like it was going to rattle all my fillings out. It was so loud I couldn't even have a conversation at highway speeds 60mph. The mbrp lasted less than 3 days before I went back to stock. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 2 being stock and 10 being straight pipe the mbrp was an 8/9 the r4t is a 4/5. The r4t doesn't seem to have any drone once up to speed, getting up to speed you will notice it.

But do they add HP? Sound aside, is there a performance increase? MPG increase. Those are what I'm looking for.

Let's put it this way - TRD makes some vague claim about an unnamed increase in power but when push came to shove, they would never release any actual numbers. Any manufacturer these days is under enormous pressure to boost their CAFE numbers even fractionally, so they're going to do everything they can in the manufacturing stage to be as efficient as possible. The aftermarket parts are just for your vanity.

4 years later, tired of the noise, switched back to OEM. Much better. Haven’t noticed any changes in MPG or driving, now just quieter.
