I put a Flowmaster 40 Series and dumped it before the axle, it has a deep rumble, not ricey at all. You can’t get a V6 to sound like a good V8 though in my opinion.

    Ok, find a muffler shop.

Tell them what ur looking for in sound.

Ask if they can clamp on 3 or 4 mufflers (1 at a time derp) that THEY think would fit the bill and let u hear each one. Ask them to NOT tell u the muffler brands or models.
After the guy hooks 1 in place of your stocker, ask to start it and throw a small rev.

Do this for each muffler and MAKE SURE the tech is ok with the rev, and ready.

Take note of the best sound u found.

Then say, "i like muffler #2" or whatever the case is.

Have it welded into stock pipes, ask what it is... pay for it.

    Be happy.

    Buy with YOUR ears...
Dont trust others ears, nor youtube

All mufflers sound terrible on our V6's check the youtube videos. I've driven every type, from TRD, Magnaflow, Flowmaster etc... all sound like a retarded cow with gas.

    See op?

    Subjective is subjective.

YOU need to find your own muffler

    Again DONT trust youtube.

The cameras mic is usually good for 20kz to 20hz.

The muffler may sound totally different or have more rumble.

I have recorded my truck with short tube headers, and long tube headers.

The gopro played back sounded exactly the same, despite longtube headers making the exhaust MUCH deeper and rattling walls in person, and the shorties being tame.

Also, ur laptop, phone, or home pc may not be reproducing all of the frequencies in the video
