I found a sweet '03 with both SR5 and TRD. Unfortunately, the used-truck-factory installed manual locks and windows -- and left off the keyless entry and alarm. I just gotta have it.

I did a search here on the forum and found an interesting looking manual-lock conversion kit + alarm by Autoloc. Any experiences with this hardware? Is there something better? Would it be better to buy the lock actuator from a junkyard and use an aftermarket alarm?

    Sure appreciate any pointers.....

I ended up putting a Viper 5901 in my 02. It does the whole keyless/alarm + remote start. Not the cheapest system around, but then again, I didn't get the lowest model either. You can pick up reburbs for around $200ish. I've always been a fan of Viper/Python alarms though, so never really checked out any others.

As far as ease goes, it went in pretty smooth. Almost all the needed wires are right behind the cab fuse box, so it was pretty easy. If you aren't doing Remote start, it should be super easy to hook up, no matter which one you get.
