Since the Tacoma SR/SR5 isn't compatible with OEM LED headlights, and I think all of the LED projector alternatives like Morimotos are fugly, I'm looking for recommendations on the least compromise in quality for an aftermarket OEM style LED headlight. Which brands suck the least?

I believe the knock off oem LEDs are covered in that thread somewhere but I could be wrong. H9s are a really good and very cheap upgrade for your halogen projectors, and with the same money you’d spend on oem led clones you could get some really nice aftermarket pods from Baja designs or diode dynamics.
It definitely wouldn’t be the same as led headlights color temp-wise, but I’m not sure how happy you’ll be with the clones

Morimotos are the only ones that are close to OEM quality. @crashnburn80 tested them a while back and he's a credible authority on this topic.

They aren't great but they are good. That's about it. Either you like "fugly" or you like halogen.

Thanks y'all, I read this thread and others before posting. Plan A was to go H9, but those OEM LEDs are calling to me. My current OEM all-chrome SR halogen housings are fugly, too, and the BHLM mod looks like a pain in the arse for an apartment dweller. Oh well, Morimotos are way overpriced, all-chrome and H9 it is.
