My truck did not come with the tow package and want to purchase a nice receiver hitch to tow anything and everything I can, what do y'all recommend and how about installing a trailer light plug?

If you lived anywhere close, I would give you my OEM receiver hitch.

I ended up scoring a free Reese hitch thru work as my SR5 didn't have a factory one. In so far as the wiring, I'd recommend Reese. They have a kit that patches into your tail lights via plugs so that you're not having to cut/splice any wiring. Took me all of 10 mins to pull the tail lights, connect things up and zip tie all the excess out of the way. Just make sure you have someone with you to test out the brake lights and turn signals before you haul anything.

Reese has a part lookup that works well. Just figure out the part # you need and price it out online. For instance, my 2013 double cab SR5 used part #85718, but I'd still recommend using their lookup for the most accuracy.

I have a Curt on mine, came with the truck. Went to attach a trailer, and the little pin to secure the trailer wouldnt fit through the hole, i have yet to find a pin that fits, so i dont really recommend it... probably just me screwing something up though

I have a Curt and it's awesome. Rated for 7500, even though our trucks aren't rated to pull that much. Got that and Reese wiring harness that plugs into the taillghts for around 200 on amazing. Took about 35 minutes to install everything. Highly recommend.
