Why would anyone want to put cheap tires on their truck. Its the only thing between you and the road.
Michelin or BFG's are the way to go.
Its true, You get what you pay for. You spend shit You get shit.

I just put Definity Dakota M/T's on mine. so far so good. I was pretty sceptical about Pep boys tires but then learned they're made by Cooper so that helped. $668 out the door.

Ran treadwrights on my last truck (285/75R16 on a 99 GMC regular cab short box) and definitely will be getting them again. Huge bang for the buck. I've bought brand new BFG A/T's before, and never again.

Wow, retreads? We ran Bandag retreads in the Baja 1000, back in 1979!

Using the white letter facing out on the BFGs wasn't cool (fools people into thinking BFG changed the tread design)! LOL

These aren't really retreads in the traditional sense. They actually re-vulcanize the new tread blank on and form the tread into that, just like when a tire is brand new.

I've been going back and forth on the Wardens and Gaurd Dogs. Of course they don't have 255/85-16 size so I'll drop down to a 265/75.....or I'll find 2 Big Horns.

Dude, that's awesome! That's gotta seriosly mess with peoples heads! A goodyear MTR tread on a tire that says BFG A/T. HAHAHA They look like really good tires and I've read a lot of really good reviews on them too and you can't beat the price! I also am curious as to how they sound? I've always heard the original MTR was LOUD on the highway and these look almost identicle.

I got these on sale for $180, ive been happy with them so far. Not the smoothest ride for an A/T but definitely border line M/T.
