For my fellow millennials, what is the best MPG and vehicle maintenance tracker out there?

I’ve used Fuelly for a long time and it’s good for tracking costs and MPG but since my warranty has expired and I’ve been doing all the regular maintenance, it isn’t great for tracking scheduled maintenance and part numbers.

    What do you guys use?

I'm not technically a millennial. A spreadsheet like excel ^ mentioned above or google sheets. I don't track mine lol

    Gen Z here

Edit: I have all the paper work for my truck filed away at home
-- including service records, inspections, invoice for my lift kit, etc...

Between Fuelly service records and the Toyota website I don't find a need to keep a separate spreadsheet. I also have a folder in my desk where I keep all the receipts. You can also attach receipts to the Fuelly service record

I use aCar (Android only, I think) which is owned by Fuelly. In aCar I can set service intervals/reminders and there is a section for saving part numbers.
I didn't know Fuelly had less features than aCar. I thought it was just iPhone vs Android version of the same thing.

On the Fuelly website there is an "Add a Reminder" option to setup service intervals/reminders. Is that not on the app too?

Excel for everything. Tabs for fuel, body, interior, tires, mechanical and a page for OE & aftermarket P/N's.

I just note the miles on the fuel receipt, toss it in the door and log them when I get home.

    Apps are over rated. :D

I'm a geriatric millennial and write my maintenance records in the manual under the notes section.

I do something similar but with Google docs. I have a directory for the truck which is getting everything from downloaded manuals, parts manuals, sheets with part numbers, blah blah blah...

And of course pictures of my stuff and other stuff I want to reference quickly.

I looked into apps and gave up. Built and excel spreadsheet for four vehicle and two bikes. I print it out and put on a clipboard in my shop. When I do anything to the cars/bike, I note it. And fill out my official record book. The excel sheet is just an easy "what's next" in my shop.

Keep in mind anything in a current phone app is usually not stored on just your phone but rather the phone app is a user interface to something in the cloud. For instance, one can access one's Fuelly account and data from one's phone or any computer. My google docs, google sheets (think Excel), PDF manuals, or pictures. One can also give access to specific docs. For instance, the repair manuals I have shared with 8 other users.

My maintenance sheet I can access and update from my phone or tablet while working in the garage and from my computers (work or home). No copying the excel doc to various computers nor trying to keep them all synced and updated. I can pull up the sheets in seconds from any device that has access to the internet.

Not much effort to keep 1 Excel file "syncd"

Still not convinced about the long stability of the cloud............. there is a file out there floating around with links to your equipment.

It doesn’t matter as long as it’s back up. As it should be.

It's as safe as your email. If one doesn't plug the vin number or plates into something its pretty safe. I'm not all too concerned about anyone seeing my mpg, list of parts, or plans. Though again, its as safe as one's email. As long as user error doesn't um hose something.

But you are right, one should use what one is comfortable with.
