I totally disagree. I live in Washington state, and I know a thing or two about wet roads. These tires are awesome in the rain.

I think you have these tires confused with another Goodyear tire.

Also, they get high marks for wet weather traction...

Haven't heard much about these. Thanks for the interesting and detailed review! I'll take your word for it, as in my 22 years of driving I think I've only tried out around 6 different Brand/models of tires.

not confused at all. Brother owns one of the busiest tire centers in the northeast. Maybe they aren’t as slick on the 4R but on the Tacoma I still prefer my Toyo AT

Right on and agreed, the glass blowing exhibit is very cool! I'm an AZ native and go up there a couple times each year, such a neat town.

I have family in Cottonwood, the winery industry has really changed Old Town! Definitely should check out the area if given the chance.

Not at all, they stick pretty well on wet roads even at highway speeds. A/T tires are generally good in wet weather due to the more aggressive tread.

Living in WA State puts a whole different perspective on wet weather driving doesn't it? What I have observed here is lots of folks overestimating their and their vehicles (AND tires) abilities... And quite a bit of road related anger these days too sadly

These have been great in the rain and are quieter than Toyo AT3s. Hoping for some more reviews on them :)

I have about 8000 miles on a set of these on 8.5" wide KMCs. Love the tires and generally have zero issue with traction on wet roads, however I have noticed some hydroplaning in heavy rain on the highway. Nothing super sketchy but it's there. I run Wildpeaks on stock wheels in the winter and they are fantastic in the snow. I have around 5000 on the Wildpeaks and overall I think I like the Goodyears a bit better aside from the fact that they pick up more stones than the Wildpeaks. They definitely ride nicer on pavement. Both sets are SL, not C or E

Here's something that hasn't been mentioned! I've had a set of Goodyear Wrangler Ultra Terrain tires on my 2022 Tacoma TRD Pro for about 35000 miles. They're great off-road (here in colorado), but they have a problem - stones get stuck in the tread easily, pretty small ones, and it dramatically affects tire balancing. As a result, I'm constantly cleaning out stones from the tread, because the stones throw them off-balance badly and highway driving is noisy, with an off-balance phase-shifting howl. I will find a better tire next time. What good is a 55000 mile warranty on a tire you'll be stuck with? By the way, my truck came with Wrangler All Terrain tires, but they were not the regular Wrangler All-Terrain, but a low mileage version manufactured to put on new trucks and would last only about 20,000 miles. When I had a problem, Discount Tire couldn't replace them and (I think) had discontinued the All Terrain. They offered me a discount on Ultra Terrain, which are made specifically for Discount Tire. That makes me wonder how much of these tires are Goodyear Wrangler, and how much are Discount Tire.
