No love for the bf Goodrich ko or ko2's? Mine always did great on compact snow and Ice. Not so great In deep wet snow..

I had a friend who had those on his old Jeep Grand Wagoneer and they were great in the snow.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
i have the firstone destination at on right now and have had for the past 50k miles. They were freaking awesome new but this past winter I was asking to much of them. my tread is down to 3/32 on two of them and 5 on the others. I rotate religiously. My next will be the Michelin ltx ms if I can afford them in the spring. Ill be doing a snow tire for the winter. I put mine on around Christmas and off on april 1.

I'll give another recommendation for the Duratrac's. There were a few storms that left 18" of snow on the road this past winter and my truck handled it unbelievably well

The Cooper DISCOVERER A/TW™ is a good LT All-Season/Snow tire.

    I wanted an MT.
I have the Michelin LTX MS/2 on my 2014 DCSB...In 2WD it would go like a tank with those things on it...I have a long steep grade that leads to my house and with 14" of snow I went up the first time breaking tracks in 4WD, no problems...after a few people went up and down and compacted it, I tried it in 2WD...put it in 1st gear and let it crawl...it never broke traction and I had no problems at all. Like said before, they are not aggressive looking but they work...and they work well. Expensive...yes I gave just shy of 1K for mine..they have 18k on them and they are showing zero signs of wear. I had Hankook Dynapro ATm's on my 2010 tacoma...never again. never never never...bad news. Mine wore out very quick and did not impress me in the snow at all.

I love the Cooper AT/3. Best tire I've owned on any vehicle. Had 36k miles on a set when I traded my Tacoma and they looked brand new. And I'm bad about rotating tires. :spy:

Considering both the Michelin MS2 and these Coopers. These are the ones I think I'm going to try to get on mine before the end of summer.

I'm very impressed with my toyo open countries. I drive up and down through Michigan's UP (highest snowfall in the U.S. Past couple years) and have had no problems whatsoever.

That being said, everyone is right, snow tires are the best but these toyos have been great as well.

The Duratrac's are a little more aggressive than an AT but they can do well in the snow.

Toyo Open Country ATII's get my vote . Feels well planted on ice/light snow , unstoppable in the deep stuff .

3 inch lift with Toytec Boss and All Pro UCA's up front. AP expedition leafs with Bilstien 5100 shocks in the back. 255/85/16 Cooper S/T Max tires. All Pro skids, rear bumper and sliders, Hidden winch mount with XRC 8000 winch. Dual Optima batteries with IBS combiner/isolator and solar. CMC. Auto sliding rear window mod, hidden CB, CVJ axles and plenty of other little mods.
I definitely don't give my DuraTracks full marks in snow. They're winter rated, but I'm looking forward to something better on my next change.
