First of all: Sorry if this has been covered in other threads. I'm sure it has.

Anyways, of the Off Road, Sport and SR5, which one do you guys feel gives you the most for your money? I want a double cab, 4x4 with v6 auto. and want to make a decision on which model to focus on. Thanks and again, I can't get over what a great, helpful forum this is.

    Like, so many.
Kinda depends on what you'll use it for. I prefered the look of the Sport and knew I wouldn't be doing any off roading hard core enough to need a locker. Just honestly assess your needs and wants and go from there. They are all good choices. If you want to see what the Sport is capable of off road (on stock tires) check out Taco Bandit's YT vids. His friend Chad drives a stock Sport 4x4. Its highly competent off road.

Depends what your needs are, but I would go Off Road.

I did all the research before buying my OR and I couldn't be happier. The only thing the Sport has that the OR doesn't is the skewp and I didn't care about that. It really comes down to your wants/needs. Are you going off-road and during that off-road adventure, what will you encounter. There are plenty of capable Sports out there, just like there are a lot of built 2wd Tacmoas that would walk all over my OR. But for me and the forestry roads and minor mud, the OR does fine as I bought it. I'll eventually put on some MTs but I'm not rushing the tread life of the Kevlars.

I will never take it off-road. That doesn't mean that I won't buy one though. I would think that at least some of the extra $ spent would come back in resale value and we have push-button start on our Honda and really like it. There's certainly some pros and cons. Seems like most feel the the OR gives good value.

I love my new OR. Wouldn't trade it for anything. But I wanted the Double Cab Long Bed. I had to hunt one of them down. Awesome rig.

If you plan offroad and Mod = SR5. If you plan to leave stock and off road = TRD OR.

If you like fake hood scoops and a stiff ride = Sport

If you want problem free and less depreciation 2nd gen.

I got my 17 DCSBOR Auto for 32.2K The same dealer had a 15 on the lot at 35.9 with 47k miles.

One of the main reasons I went third gen was that the prices for used ones were ridiculous.

So you are telling me that 2nd Gens still command as much or more than a new Turd Gen.

    You made my point. Thanks.
