all for about $100.00. In five years repeat. jmop

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I'm pretty loyal to Interstate, have an old green top in my plow truck that's been going for 12 years of hard use and abuse, it just wont die. My 2004 came with a DieHard battery, when it goes, it will be replaced with a new green top Interstate.

it's a marine deep cycle, group size 31m, 1150CCA. no mods were needed or necessary to fit that sucker in.

the Pelfreybilt battery tray also fits perfectly in the stock location and is made specifically for the battery. the craftsmanship is amazing!

you can purchase the battery tray from www.pelfreybilt.com

Five years isn't that long. There are much better batteries out there that'll last longer. Like I said, I've got a green top Interstate in my plow truck that will be entering it's 13th year of service in February. It refuses to die.

    Window tint count?
In Montana that may be true. Batteries lifespan in the south florida heat aren't even 5 years.

The DieHard platinum 31M is hands down the best single battery you can actually fit on a Tacoma. The CCA's, deep draw capability and recharge ability of this AGM battery far exceeds any other single battery for these trucks.
We are currently running a 15% off sale on all Pelfreybilt items so the Stainless Steel battery cage for this monster is cheaper as well.

I like the deep-cycle marine batteries because of the dual-duty lugs. Interstate deep cycle marines are a good bang for the buck. 27F fits both the truck and the trailer. There's other brands with dual lugs, but Interstate seems to me is best bang for the buck.

No five years is not very long, it isn't that I needed a battery, I put everything on a schedule, in doing so I have never needed a battery, how much money I will lose over a lifetime will be marginal,

However getting 13 years & counting is GREAT, I agree, getting service like that I would continue with the GreenTop!!!! looks like you will be putting your plow truck to use this year , good luck

I have been looking at the AGM Battery. They are very much like a gel battery but in some test rated better..I see odyssey Battery is mentioned a lot here..I was looking at the Diehard advance GOLD 34R and Platinum batteries.. My mechanic friend likes them and says that odyssey makes both of these AGM Batteries for Diehard.. the 34R is 100.00 bucks cheaper than the X2... The Platinum around 50 cheaper..My friend told me to stay clear of the NEW optima's..

I've heard nothing but bad stuff about the new Optimas. That's why I opted for the odyssey extreme
