I had a 2017 Tacoma Off-Road and installed the additional track and was using the Rockymount mounts to carry my two bikes. Now I have a 2019 Off-Road that has the Tri-Fold bed cover (to my surprise) and now I can't use the previous track or mounts. Is my only resort a hitch-mount rack or have people been creative with their covers and mounts?

I mounted my rockymount trays to my kbvoodoo bed bars. I'm looking to put a tonneau over the bed/under the bars soon as well. So really your only option for over the bed would be to install some sort of bed bar that is compatible with your tonneau cover (the oem tonneau is compatbile with kbvoodoo bed bars). You'll have to research what other bed bars (if any) are compatible with the oem tonneau that you could mount a bike rack too. Else, like you said, hitch mount rack is the way to go.

I bought a $79 Allen hitch mount and it works fine for what I do.

This is what I was going to do, but they are not compatible with my bakflip mx4 :frusty:

I wanted to go this route because I could remove the top bars and still be able to access the tonneau cover.

Do the bars come off or go back on pretty easy. I think I am in the bed more that I transport my bikes.

They can either use thumb screws, or in my case it was tamper proof screws (need a special allen to loosen). If you use thumbscrews, they'd be on and off in minutes and will give full use of the trifold

I'm looking into this right now. Just picked up 2 Yakima Highrollers and want to mount them over my OEM Tonneau cover.

It seems the best 2 options are the KB Voodoo HiRise and Mobtown LowRise. I've been going back forth and can't decide.

I have the yakima towers bolted directly to my toneau with the round bars and bike racks mounted on that....had all the parts off an old canopy from past truck so figured why not. Works awesome in the winter for the ski rack...the towers easily pop off if I want to

I'd love to see a closer up pic of the rails and bike mount. Thanks!

The yakima rack is fairly narrow. So my guess is yes, you can possibly squeeze 4 in there, but the bike handbars will be getting in each others way, unless you stagger every other bike rack (front, back, front, back).

I use the rockymount on the side rail. It works fine if you’re just transporting one bike
