2018 TRD OR DBL 4x4

I am wondering if there is a recommendation for a good OBD2 scanner that doesn't have connection issues. I have had two. The first one at $10 didn't work too well, the second one was $22 and it worked great in my 2nd generation, put in my 3rd gen it seems to always lose Bluetooth connection.

can anybody recommend one that actually works or my an idiot and it's my phone...
