I see some manufacturers use square tubes and some use round. Is one better than the other?

Yes. Square tube is significantly stiffer. That’s why we use it for the main slider tube.

@Mobtown Offroad all the way and not just for sliders. They build all the essential armored elements for our rigs, bumpers, sliders, skids, tailgate and bed protection.

Just ordered a set for the Tacoma as well as a 200-series LC. Will report back.

I like the design the best.

I did too!! I ordered the kickout style with full fill diamond plates. Got a little wait but I'm sure it will be worth it!

Anyone with mobtown sliders with the 20 degree angle 2 things: 1) how well does it work for door dings for the mall crawling times? 2) can you still use them as a step into the truck (my fiance is 5'1 maybe)

    1) smashes the fuck out of car doors.

    2) Yes. My wife is 5’2”. She never complains. But that’s also one of the reasons I keep her around.

Thats awesome for the response. I am definitely looking to get a set soon. Do most orders go with the fill plates? just from your experience

One time I was at dinner with @Mobtown Offroad and he managed to open his F150 shop truck door into my slider. I couldn’t help but appreciate the irony.

To answer the step question, my wife is 5’2” and it works ok as a step. I put some grip tape on top to help, and once she figured out how to get in, there’s no issues. It’s not as handy as a dedicated step, but that’s the nature of the beast. You want them high and tight.

I don’t really have the stats on it. A lot do and a lot don’t. People particularly interested in the functionality as a step seem to like the fill plates.

They also help keep stones from being thrown up at your truck from the tires.
