Really quick. I have 31s on my taco. Never had an issue with front brakes. In fact I can lock them up in the front no problem. Why are people upgrading? Are their trucks too heavy or wheels too big for the stock brakes?

Just a curiosity question as to what are the benefits as I am already able to lock up my fronts with stock brakes and 31s.

I just installed a set of 13WL Calipers and my pedal feels spongy and almost goes to the floor. I bled the brakes properly, numerous times. The brakes stop but I cannot handle this spongy brake pedal. So,..you guys are saying if I replace my stock brake lines with a set of Wheeler SS Lines that will cure the spongy brakes? And long pedal travel? Thank You

I read there is a bleed port at the top of the rear pumpkin, been needing to check that out in regards bleeding more.

I do not understand it but my brake pedal now feels correct. The new Sequoia Calipers (13WL) work fine. Certainly look better since they are powder coated red. I will upgrade my rubber lines to SS braided units soon. One note to take into account. Sequoia Rotors will not work on a Taco as the hat depth is slightly deeper. The rotor diameter is the same. Since I had already upgraded my rotors years ago to Sure Stop cross drilled slotted all I needed was the 13WL calipers and pads. Even though this is an inexpensive brake upgrade I would suggest that you retain the stock calipers and upgrade your rotors. I do not think the Sequoia Calipers will not fit the stock 16" wheels, but since I have 20" aftermarket wheels they work,..barely.

I am going to remove the Sequoia Calipers (13WL) and go back to the Stock Tacoma Calipers when the weather permits. I prefer the Stock Calipers mainly because they will fit both my stock wheels and the Ekeis I have on my truck. After a thousand miles on the 13WL calipers I like the feel of the stock calipers. I am going to order a new set of stock calipers that have been powder coated. This is just my opinion on the mod.

Also, during the Caliper swap I replaced all the Lugs Studs with longer ARP Studs. The issue was the stock studs were just not long enough for my Enkei Wheels. I also installed a set of blue Champion open ended Lugs Nuts. They look good and are much easier to take on and off.

I would vote Wheelers lines. There was just a recent thread where someone had the LCE ones and they sent the wrong ones (5 lug) and was getting horrible customer service trying to replace them.

Also the Wheelers lines are like $75 vs over $100.

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
The issue is still going on. I have since ordered from Wheelers to get correct SS lines. Had to order regular lines from O'Reilly to finish the job last weekend. Wheeler will get it right. I may be writing off the LCE purchase as a loss.
