I would go with the 5K hid's...it's a better color match imo :)

and as Ant said, go to www.theretrofitsource.com they have it all!!

    Stock for now.
i'm just going to say that the projectors from theretrofitsource dont carry the best projectors. decent projectors with an easy install. the fx-r one of the best that they offer.

i would say the TL, TSX and s2k projectors are better than TRS alternatives (light output wise).

TRS offers the TL, TSX, S2K and more projectors...they don't offer these specialty projectors in the full kits, but they are available.

Check out their site under HID projectors

And TRS also came into the thread you created to make your review of them and took care of it, did they not? Unless there's more to the story, it was an issue of transfer of warranty and a miscommunication. Also, you weren't the paying customer, you bought the projectors second hand if I'm remembering correctly... No need to bash them in this thread.

Look around their site, the FX-R is not the best projector they sell. They sell TL's, S2K and LS430 and 460 projectors along with many others. You should know what you're talking about before making false blanket statements...

Dude... if you care about output at all just don't do it. If you are after looks and you like the look of these then do it

There are a lot of people running lights like that but the light output isn't great. If you like the look, go for it but don't buy them because you think they'll be the best projector style lights. FYI, you can add halos to retrofitted OEM headlights.

ok, from what I have found, thats a good price. Am I correct? I like the looks and im also gonna get better light output with the HIDS, so im getting the best of both worlds

i would be very cautious of other vendors only because there are alot of products out there that try to compete in this industry and they provide mass production with every poor quality and/or customer service...

    thanks for the compliment.

For something like that I suppose that is an okay price. You're not REALLY getting the best of both worlds as you will come to find when you hook them up, but I'm not going to sit here and preach to you. It seems that your mind is already made up. I hope you are happy with them. I just know that I wasn't happy with the output of my setup so I went the real retro route. What you are looking at is not that route, but that's not to say that you won't be happy

Just because it uses HID lighting doesn't mean it's going to be better. Also, just because it's a projector doesn't mean it's going to be better. Throw an HID bulb into a stock housing and you'll see that the light output sucks. Sure, it's very bright but the reflector style housing doesn't throw the light the correct way to make the light useful. There are also a lot of cheap projectors out there, even OEM ones. Don't make the assumption that just because it's got HID's and a projector that it will be better. Those cheap OEM replacement headlights in many cases have a worse lighting pattern than the stock housing with a standard halogen bulb.

Any of those lights are garbage. Also the light output isn't great as is not to mention they are halogen projectors not HID projectors. There's a difference. To get good results you're gonna have to spend money. Do a retrofit with proper HID projectors into your stock light housings like everyone is suggesting. You get what you pay for and with something as important as headlights I wouldn't cheap out.

Gotcha, Im really on the fence about this now, I'm just gonna replace my grill with a black billet now and think about the projectors and what not

I recommend one thing at a time man. Do some homework as to the output of a retrofit vs drop in housings that have projectors. Find out what you really want and if the expense is worth it for what your goals are. There is no right answer, just those that are more logical for certain goals.

Yea, there's just so much I wanna do. I wanna do it right, make it look sick, but also have it be useful. I have about $500 to spend on mods. Your truck is F**CKIN sick btw. Your front bumper bar and lights are on my to do list as well.:wave::goingcrazy:

That's the thing man... Do it right the first time and you won't be switching out. Thanks for the kind words. My truck doesn't even look like that right now. I have a new grille and the 4 lights up front are gone. Something new is soon to be on though.

Don't do it OP, I bought the 3rd generation ones and they were shit, the halo's sucked the light output were terrible (narrow and spotty). I liked the look of them so I kept it and did a proper retrofit with good halo's and good projectors...now I have really expensive headlights because I didn't do my research.

But if it dead set on them go for it
