Are you even reading the thread?

Your questions are being answered, yet you keep asking them over and over.

It MIGHT be possible to get the smaller Min-H1 retros into those housings.
It's NOT going to be easy.
Only two TW members have attempted a proper projector retro on aftermarket projector housings.
The first one ended up ruining his first set of housings and had to buy another.

What you want to do is not going to be an afternoon project.

But what would be the point of that since those already have projectors? Besides the fact that the TRS projectors are probably a better quality. The OP has now confused me...

to answer your question... yes you can buy those headlights and put TRS HIDs in them..... but ur just wasting money... that headlight kit comes with HID... and i wouldnt spend more on a good product(TRS) and put it in a crappy product... but hey, it is your $$$ do as you please. Many, including myself would recommend a proper retrofit ....

what one member did was bought that style headlight but replaced the projector with TRS.. thats better

Because the projectors in the aftermarket housings are shit.

They are shit with halogens... WORSE than stock... and with HIDs they are just a little less shit and not any better than stock.

    And they leak.

There is a reason those housings are $250 with DDM-quality (more shit) H4 HIDs, when a good set of Depo stock housings is $180.

If they are that shitty, why not get regular stock headlights and retrofit them? That sounds way more simple than dealing with those aftermarket housings!

    Agreed 1000%.

The eBay projectors look sweet, and I can see the attraction to doing a proper retro on them. Rascal737 and Moose have both done it and they both look great... but it is a fair amount of work, and a lot of trial and error.

The trial and error can be reduced by removing your stock headlights and using them to build an aiming jig on your bench to help with aiming the new projectors before sealing the housings.

Part of the process is drilling a hole in the back of the housing, and mounting the projectors with 4 screws.
The screws are used not only to secure the projectors, but also to set the primary aim to a point that is close enough to allow the housing adjusters to move into proper aim.

dont the mini projectors from TRS fit right in the existing hole in the headlight housing? Meaning you wouldnt have to cut any part of the headlight housing?

Stock housings, yes... but we're talking about a retrofit into eGay projectors.
The supplied projectors and lenses need to be removed and the retrofits need to be mounted into the housing in a way that positions the lens in the same place, and properly angles the reflector.

What I was getting at was maybe the OP should just get stock replacements and do a retrofit with these http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=227

Stock housings, I'd recommend the DS2 instead of the H1.

The DS2 is an industry-standard burner, and you can order the retro with the same Philips 4300k burner that auto manufacturers use.

OP.. do you want the look of an aftermarket housing? or just halos and HIDs, regardless of housing?

if the first.. get some Halo rings and Morimoto Mini's from TRS, and retrofit them into your stock housings... done.

If you want the look of a particular projector housing.. then its alot more work.. but possible.

I would recommend the first since your are just starting off.. if you grow tired of them, or fell like you are ready to tackle the more difficult method.. then use your MH1's youalready have.. and begin the process of retrofitting into ebay housings.

AnT, Rich, all these guys are correct...it would be easier to get a set of oem headlights and retro those with h1 mini's or D2S mini's...but if you like the look of the aftermarket ones, find the cheapest set on ebay (without HID kit) and retro those with TRS projectors, halo's and HID's
