Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
My vote would be for a Leer 180. Had one on my '06 TRD OR and went with the same model for my new '21 TRD OR.
First, the '21 TRD (only have 2 pics):

    Then my previous TRD:
    DCP_2416.jpg

The Leer 180 is a mid-rise cap. The extra few inches of height is a blessing once you're inside. Both are equipped with a rack - I think the newer one is better, but it's not something I use regularly. Both have headliners. The light inside the '21 TRD is wired into the bed lights which is best IMO.

I have an A.R.E. and have found a few flaws that should never have passed QA, good thing I bought it used or it would have gone back. I'd go Leer if I was paying retail.

Had an are for the first 3 yrs and I was never happy with it- quality was shit (pre 2020). But most noticeable and annoying to see every day was the non paint match, the hue was off.

pulled the trigger on a rsi, it has a few minor things but I’m happy. More my style too with a utilitarian vibe

I enjoy my Snug Top but it’s the only brand I’ve seen.

I had an rsi and now have a snugtop rebel sportsman, windoors with sliders, rear lock. I saw a lot, a lot of water spill out of my latch after a rainy day with the rsi. Which wasn’t totally watertight. The snugtop noise drives me nuts, I’ve tweaked it a bunch here and there but I will always have a love and hate for camper shells. Soon enough I’m gonna set up a pallet so I can transfer the topper easily and waste a bunch of space with a decked. Keep the snugtop for the winter.

If you have a 12 year old German Shepherd that rides in my Tacoma bed with a shell daily....it doesn't matter what kind of shell you have or how much you spend...in the end they all end up smelling like a 12 year old German Shepherd! Lately I use a ramp
to get him up and into the bed because he can't jump up onto the tailgate anymore.
    "Santino" loves his Tacoma!

Looking for a cap as well. Questions for those who have them - Do you have a reinforced shell for a RTT? What’s been the common lead time for delivery?

I'll vote for a Leer 180 also. Not sure about the others but Leer utilizes the rails in the bed for mounting the cap,no more c clamps.
