hit it with some rustoleum. if your bed stiffeners are rusting out you probably have other issues as well.

Going with the greenlane stainless brackets. They are probably not as stiff as mild steel… but still better than nothing to stiffen up the composite bed. Given how frequently these brackets get hit and dinged with cargo any mild steel brackets will not hold up. Definitely not in Seattle where it rains 9 months a year. Pricey but buy once cry once!

Rago Fab makes a lot of their stuff out of stainless, the bed stiffeners as well.

I might be mistaken, but after looking at the instructions these would only really stiffen front to back and not address the sideways forces by much other than the material thickness. Again I could be mistaken.

Went with Greenlane for my stiffeners, just thought they looked nice. They've served dutifully so far.

Total Chaos makes a set that goes further up over the angled portion for more support, and that looks neat.

4WP also makes kind of a stealth version that installs mostly on the "inside" of the bed, hiding most of itself away -- which also looks cool.

Billiebars.com has an option. Totally no intrusion into the bed. I'm not finding a link to just their stiffeners but here is a link to the stiffeners and tailgate panel. Too rich for my blood, but unique compared to all others.

Just read the description.. the stiffeners supposedly only clear their tailgate panel/cover, so they only sell them as part of a kit. Which is why the stiffener kit costs so much. If someone was looking for a tailgate cover anyway, looks like a good combo to have a clean stiffy setup.

Just purchased Rago’s mainly due to them being stainless.

Good decision. Mild steel stiffeners in the truck bed are garbage in no time. Had I not already placed my order for the stainless Green Lane, Rago would have been my choice.
