Years ago, I was in the market for a new KTM. I tried to shop locally, but the bike I wanted wasn't available at the dealer here and they shoveled me all kinds of BS that they could get me one but it would cost $$$. On a tip from a friend on a forum, I called up Munn Racing in Texas. They shipped me the bike I wanted and still saved me thousands over retail/local. The whole transaction took 20 minutes.

Last year I was looking at a Dodge Cummins truck to start a business. I got a tip to shop Dennis Dillon Dodge in Idaho. Same deal. Huge discount compared with local on a giant inventory to get exactly what you want with a no-hassle, guaranteed OTD price when you showed up. Never got the Dodge, but referred a friend there who told me he will never buy a Chrysler product anywhere else.

Long story short, we are looking to replace my wife's 2006 Tacoma. Question is, is there a dealer within a thousand miles of me that is the "go to" for this kind of buying experience? A no hassle and guaranteed advertised price would be nice but I just want a good, no BS deal on exactly the truck we want (quicksand/white/silver DCLB Off-road).

    Thanks!

A lot of people have went to Freeman toyota in Santa Rosa ca myself included. They seem to have the best deals and they were super helpful to me. I had the price locked in before I arrived and they already had gotten most of the paper work done do I was in and out in 30 minutes.

I just bought a 2018 T4R off-road premium for a steal of a deal. Not sure how far you’re willing to travel. PM me for details. I have an awesome salesman that won’t BS you or add on any crap if you don’t want it.

Mountain States Toyota in Denver is good. No dealer fees and easy to work with. Ended up getting my TRD Pro at Pueblo Toyota cause it was on the lot and didn’t have to wait. They were great to work with and negotiated a price below MSRP.

I shopped all of the metro Denver dealers, SLC, Phoenix and ABQ. I ended up buying at Durango Motors. As the price was better than everywhere else. Then Toyota accidentally shipped my truck to SLC dealer (was built in Mexico). Martin @ Durango Motors drove a truck and flatbed up to SLC on a Sunday and picked it up for me for free. I have a 2016 and had some if the initial problems rear diff, alignment issues, radio restarting every 5 secs....etc. The dealer stood by me, and helped me get the 7yr 100k platinum warranty for free. They have been very good to me.

The amount of inventory is usually a pretty good indicator. Or at least it is in my area. The more they sell, the more they're allocated.

If your willing to travel to SoCal. Longo Toyota, probably one of the largest dealers in the us. I bought my last 2 Toyota’s from Paul in fleet department. Straight forward and hassle free

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Feels like I can narrow down my search with those options. We've gotta move some funds around but hope to have a new truck in the family by the end of summer.

Prior to looking through TacomaWorld I bought my 2017 AT DCSB TRD OR in January 2017 from Freeman Toyota in Santa Rosa. Factoring in options they were $1000-$1500 cheaper then the next most competitive dealers and several thousand cheaper than non-competitive ones. I checked and price warred with dealers from Seattle to Boise to Phoenix to LA and back to the local guys near me in Nor Cal. My local dealers would only give me the $500 costco discount. I was pre-approved through Capital One and declined all the add-ons. If you want more “details” shoot me a PM. Hector Castillo was the internet Sales Manager and the only guy I worked with.

If you or anyone else does buy from Freeman they install those cheap dealership car alarms by KARR Security Systems on all their vehicles. Had I known ahead of time I would have insisted it not be installed.

That's true. That shit is lame. And if you don't want it, they leave it in, disabled rather than remove. Sneaky tactic.
