I'll take a PM with your dealer info as well. Routine service is coming up, but would like to get in with a good establishment!

Went to Toyota of Dallas for my 10,000mi service.

As I was pulling in, I saw a clean 60-Series Landcruiser beside a Cement TRD PRO Tacoma.

They were both owned by the same guy, and I couldn't catch him before he left so I asked the service writer about them. He got super cocky and said that they did an engine swap on the Landcruiser and were installing a TRD intake, exhaust, and SUPERCHARGER on the Tacoma. Pretty cool considering TRD put out a service bulletin stating discontinuing of the Supercharger and that no one develops a kit. Unless they are doing a complete custom fab job which i never heard a stealership doing before. Either that or hes lying out of his ass.

I hate liars. And I hate the fact that im turning my truck over to a liar. But I didn't call him out on his BS, swallowed my pride, handed over my keys.

Come back two hours later after they called me and see that my front bumper trim is hanging from my truck. I point it out to them and they start denying it. I asked if they think that I am lying and the service MANAGER said that he isn't going to do shit about it and stormed off. So at this point I just want to leave and I call the service writer out on his bullshit about the supercharger and he stands his ground saying that he bets me money that they are SUPERCHARGING the TRD PRO Tacoma. What a bunch of fucking jokers.

Cliffs- Don't EVER go to Toyota of Dallas for service.

I guess it seems that way if you base my entire life about a post I made about a bad experience at a dealership?

Toyota of Richardson sucks. Very rude folks working there, even the parts department are bunch of disgruntled people behind the counter. Service department always looks disorganized and "behind".

Patt Lobb McKinney has been good so far.

ToD is such an odd duck. All sorts of internet chatter about them (or the online parts department, at least) but shit for service.

I have never used the service department, but agree the parts group is awesome. I put a new head gasket in my '92 and the parts guys were very helpful looking up the part numbers for me and verifying the ones I found myself. You have to order via their online site to get the discount, but they were always helpful at the counter. I had the parts delivered to the dealer and they were always delivered within a couple days and the "internet" parts group were equally helpful.

On one order, the injector wire connectors, were back-ordered...apparently only two at any US dealer and waiting on an overseas shipment that was weeks out. I found them, of all places, at a motorcycle repair shop, called to cancel the back-order. They cancelled without issue. Prices are competitive too. Overall, parts department is excellent.

I finally got a hold of the Service General Manager. He apologized on behalf of the dude who was playing manager that day and they offered to replace the front trim. I took the trim piece and said I would install it myself as I don't want anyone from their staff driving my vehicle again. So I guess its a decent outcome to the story.

That being said, I am going to start collecting all of my receipts and servicing my truck myself.

Plano was terrible. It took them 8 hours to replace a tire sensor and that's with having at 7 am appointment.

I just had the worst time at Pat Lobb Toyota in McKinney. I've never been so jerked around. Purchased my Taco last week and have spent over 15 hours at the dealership since then going in for this thing or that and getting the run around every time. I don't even want to get into the details because I'll get pissed. I'm driving a dirty and smelly loaner Camry because they didn't finish working on my brand new truck in the time frame they told me they would. Loaner was last one on the lot and never cleaned. Looks like a family has lived in it for a week. I'm honestly never going back to Pat Lobb.

Avoid Toyota of Rockwall like the plague. I ordered my Quicksand TRDOR back in 2016 and, after waiting almost 4 months, the truck came in and the dealer traded it out from under me. And then they even had the nerve to tell me it had been "damaged in shipping". However, my rep had already given me the VIN # so I was able to get the real story from myCarfax. It was the first year of Gen3 and I know these things are in high demand (especially the QS) but sheesh! At any rate, I've had good experience with McKinney and even Cowboy (off I30) for service since. Oh, and BTW - I ended up locating the truck just like I had ordered originally in Norman, OK. I left the office at lunch and drove it home that evening. Good luck!

I bought mine at Freeman. Although i didnt care for the finance guy, i have enjoyed their service dept. When i had warranty work to be done i called ahead and got everything set up with a loaner and was in and out in ten minutes. They kept my truck for a couple days and kept me informed the whole time. All the issues were repaired as expected.
