I did not know that and I have not seen it in my breaks when I opened it, but I just found in FSM there is a "gasket"

count the number of lug nuts on one of your wheels. That's what the 5 lug or 6 lug means.

6 lugs can be 2wd OR 4wd, and the trim level ("SR5") refers to any Toyota trim package (Corolla, 4Runner, Tundra, Tacoma, etc...)

That may be for the 5 lug?

Sole purpose of that gasket would be to eliminate the 'bond' corrosion will create between the drum and the flange at the end of the axle. A light film of grease or anti-seize would also do the trick. It's not like that gasket is assisting in preventing any fluid leakage...
FWIW - that 'gasket' is also pictured in the FSM under the 'Rear Axle Shaft - Components'

    OME and worth every penny.
I think I do remember seeing that gasket on a 5 lug. It looks familiar and if no one remembers it on their 4WD or PreRunner, seems pretty plausible.

Unless OP is in the salt belt I wouldn't worry much about it.

Not a bad idea, just prob. not going to 'save your bacon' either.

Nope, it in 4WD too. I see it in FSM for all years.

But like I wrote, I have not seen it under my factory installed drum.
