Best durable seat covers?

I want seat covers that are gonna be decent for use during outdoor recreations such as duck hunting so could get dirty. Also have a lab that will not be inside cab but could possible during a few occasions. Any suggestions are appreciated. TIA.

 

Not sexy at all and maybe not the "best", but I've had the Cabelas Trail Gear seat covers on since 2008. They are universal fit, durable, clean easily, have pockets on the back, and are cheap. I just have them on the front two seats of an access cab. No clue if they work with fancy seat airbags as I don't have that option.

Those are what I almost bought my Dad for his 16, but he beat me to it.

 

Wet Okole Car seats. They make them out of Hawaii. It is the same material as Diving Suits. Very waterproof and durable. Easy to clean. An array of options and colors.

 

I've got Wet Okoles in the front. Actually a lot more durable than I thought they would be.

I've got coverking ballistics in the rear that I got off eBay and they are NOT as durable as I thought for what should be a tougher fabric. Big old frayed line on them from just putting a piece of wood in the back seat.

Like other people said Carrharts seem good they have a good following on here.

 

Don't know about "best", but my GT's are still very waterproof, fit well, and aren't showing much wear after 3 years.

Are the neoprenes hot or sticky. Seems like they would make u sweat or not let u slide in and out very well.

 

I went Wet Okole in front and Carhartt in the rear seats since the back seats receive a lot more punishment from throwing stuff on them, dog claws etc.

Both were very durable. If I was going to go for one or the other I'd say WO because they add a lot of cushy comfort.... more than you'd expect. I never found them too hot or sticky at all. I'd recommend either product... if you're worried about sharp or rough edges maybe causing abrasions or small tears I'd say co Carhartt. If you want a nice blend of comfort and tough, go WO.

I used to have the old Fia saddle blanket material ones in my 06 taco and they were good but not to the same level of quality of WO or Carhartt covers.

 

Wet Okoles. Be prepared to sweat your ass off in hot weather.....

 

I've never gotten swamp ass from my neoprene Wet Okoles. Have always been comfortable and like someone else mentioned the added cushion is pretty nice.

And that is down in GA with 100+ degrees. Now I do get a sweaty back on occasion with them.

Neoprene is not a very good seat material.

 

I've got cover king neosupreme. fit is OK, not good enough for the price, quality... Sent back the front seat cover that was falling apart (seat material separating from itself) after 5 or 6 months. They lost it, horrible customer service and won't buy from them again. The replacement i finally got is now a lot more baggy on the seat bottom and has a crease from the extra material.

Best is subjective. And choosing seat covers for your needs, which happen to be just like mine, involves making trade offs. Most durable would probably be a heavy duty canvas or ballistic nylon. In general you won't get a good looking tight fit and more importantly to me they aren't waterproof. They leaves neoprene (drysuit grade) and neosupreme (wetsuit grade). Neosupreme looks and fits great, isn't as durable s canvas/nylon, and isn't completely waterproof. For me the lack of true waterproofness ruled out neosupreme. Actiual waterproof neoprene is the most expensive option and has the same good fit and look as neosupreme. But it's the most expensive option. Years ago I went with relatively inexpensive neoprene Saddlemans and am perfectly happy. Fit is nice and the cost was much lower than Wet Okoles (my bet is many who recommend Okoles don't actually own them...for some odd reason they just aspire to own them some day ) I get a bit of nasty swamp ass in the summer because waterproof neoprene doesn't breathe. That sucks. But since I installed them I haven't arrived at work on a Monday with a wet ass because the seat absorbed water when I was out fishing or hunting on the weekend.

 

They are covered in fabric so sliding in and out isn't a problem. And yes, they can and do make your ass, and especially your back, sweaty.

 

Thinking about the gt endura covers. Anyone have anything positive on that fabric. Says they are waterproof but more like a canvas material with foam backing. Do they cause the swamp ass or sweaty back?
