I removed the cat from a car once and it made the check engine light come on... did you have any problem with that when you removed the cats from your Taco?

It's a good muffler over all. Sounded atrocious with headers (but that could be the headers).

Ron @ Spintech talked me out of the 9000... he said it would be too loud.

As long as it is just the rear 2 cats there is no issues, the sensors are before and after the first set, the second set is not even monitored.

I just bought the 9000 because all the videos out there were extremely positive about how it sounded. No rice or drone. also was stated it sounded better in person than on vid but i thought the vids sounded great (except when revved). I am having my 9000 put on this weekend so i'll post a video if you care to hear how it compares. have you got a video of the 6000?

Yep. It almost sounds like an exhaust leak since it gets louder with more throttle but it's the injectors.

Sure, I'd love to hear it! Any other exhaust modifications on yours? Or will it be muffler only?

Your wrong my friend. I just got a magnaflow 18” muffler with an re-pipe increase to 2.5 in stainless steel. I’m going to be uploading a video clip later this week. It sounds like a small block v8.. no question about it. Don’t go due or you’ll be droning like crazy. Mine Is a perfect set up. I know exactly what your looking to sound like and I have it and I am stoked trust me

    Too few to list.
I've liked Spintech ever since I found them in 2001. I've actually used 3000 on my 2011 but installed with a resonator. If I was to change from stock, I wouldn't hesitate Spintech again.

Stock? My upgrade recommendation is minor. It doesn’t effect much of anything. Probably a small HP increase at wide open throttle but trust me I’ve do this to every car I’ve owned and my truck cost me $40k I’m not gonna mess up a good thing or void my warranty. Increase pipe from 2 3/8 to 2.5 after cat and muffler change is a minor upgrade in performance. Minor because a 1or 2 mpg improvement and 1-4 HP is nothing to brag about. And anyone who’s done this knows your heavier on the foot after this because you love the sound with the windows down so any minor mpg goes out the window. Literally
