Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .
Had WeatherTechs and Huskys in past vehicles and both are about the same... have WeatherTech's in present Tacoma.

WeatherTech's are a little stiffer and slicker and Husky's are a little more rubber like, IIRC.

You really cant go wrong with either one.

PS ... The OEM mats have not been good to me.

The Huskys do have a textured back. It has the little spikes and they do a great job of keeping them down. I don't have the truck tonight or I would go snap a picture but they look like below.

I went with weatherbeaters. I don't like the stiff plastic feel and how the grip are for the heel of the clutch feet. But it is what it is since xact are not available for 6mt

I have weathertechs and they are great. When I first received them, one of the front was curled a bit it flattened out within a few days.

The WeatherBeaters are stiff and the X-acts are more softer rubber feel to them, that is the only difference. When I bought my truck last year I could not wait for the X-acts to roll out so I bought the WeatherBeaters for my truck. They work great.

I'm still not sure if I'm going to put that screw in or not. They aren't sliding around without it, and I don't want to put a hole in the carpet. lol

Try Maxliner also, they're exactly like the Weathertechs in fit and feel for about 30 bucks cheaper per set.

    It's not a noticeable hole.

I'm so much worried about it being noticeable. I'm just not sure I want a hole in the carpet if they aren't moving at all without the screw.

I don't think it is carpet. Seems to me to be hard cardboard material with fuzzy material glued to it. But no, I would not put a hole through it. They stay in place just fine.

It's not like you see it, it's under the screw that's under the floormat. But it's not really required if you're that uncomfortable about it.

I like the additional anchor, glad one of the manufacturers provides a solution.

anyone who was hoping for the x-act from husky for the MT models, you are out of luck. I contacted them and got a reply that they don't and will not be producing them for the MT models because they are too few out there.

So your only choice are OEM, weatherbeaters or the weathertech

I ran WeatherTechs in my last 3 trucks and currently in my Tacoma as well. I like that the Husky's have more coverage on the dead pedal on the driver's side and that they have the spikes underneath to keep from sliding; but on another note, I like that the WeatherTechs go up higher along the center divide on both the driver and passenger's side.

A buddy of mine had Husky's in the past and he didn't like them, actually preferred my WeatherTechs over them. He had rubber mats that weren't form fitted like the X-Acts or Weatherbeaters; not sure if they made those back then neither. Ever since, I just stuck with WeatherTechs since that kinda gave me a bad impression of the Husky's. That was then and now the Husky's look legit, only seen them once in person and you can't go wrong with either brand.
