Novice here..So if I get all new speakers, subs, tweeters etc, would I almost be forced to get a new head unit? Or can I use the stock one.

As well, any recs on a new one you guys like?

You don’t necessarily need a new headunit. If you like the factory one, you have options to integrate. Depends on budget and what your goal is for sound quality.

i think it really it comes down to Budget then features you want. the general consensus i have seen is CarPlay/Android Auto being a big sell on upgrading. if you have the budget and the $$ there is some high end decks that can display vehicle information using a Maestro RR. there are even some decks (Alpine ILX-309) that has an accessory plugin module to use your deck to control these rather then hardware switches. my recommendation would be is to go to Crutchfield.com play around with features you want price point. they will guide you as well on install and what you will need to do it.
