I got a new 2021 TRD Sport and it was everything I wanted except LED headlights. The fatory lights are terrible coming from my 2019 Mazda CX-5. I really want to upgrade the headlights but the dealership wants over 1k each for the TRD Pro headlights.

I have been looking in these forums and online and looks like two best options are Morimoto and Alpharex. I have also read that both of those options come with their own set of issues.

Is there any other options or should I go with one of those two options? They are both very expensive so I want to make sure I am making the right choice and not just lighting my money on fire lol.

i went with the Morimoto Gen1 and am extremely happy so far. They are pricy too but worth the expense. I was on the fence about OEM and Morimoto and I got a deal on the Gen 1 that was too hard to pass up.

Yeah, I spoke with the company Headlight Revolution since they carry both of the Morimoto and Alpharex and he said they would be having a sale for July 4th so to hold off buying until then. The Morimoto also comes with a 5 year warranty and Alpharex is only 2 year. He also said to him that the Morimoto feels like it is built better than the Alparex.

Awesome, thanks for that link! That is way cheaper than my local dealership. They wanted like $1089 per headlight, so I noped on that one.

Awesome Build man! You still enjoying the Morimoto's?

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
You will find (if you really search) that the general consensus around here is that OEM is best.

'Bright' doesn't necessarily translate to 'Reach'. Again, search around here for more insight. There is one thread that explains some serious research done by one of the members. Sorry, but I don't have a link to that thread.
    -
Another consideration - will you get PURE Plug & Play with any of the aftermarket setups, or will you be scratching to find the right harness for your trim level?
Are you in snow/ice country? LEDs throw off minimal heat to melt ice & snow build-up. Halogens prove better in that regard.
    -
No matter what, it's your money and your truck. You will either get the end result you seek or it'll just be another experiment.

I got the alphavaltrex new version of alpha black lights, I was one of the lucky few to have zero issues and great coverage and i love the look. If i had to do it over again, I would go with the Morimotos,

Yeah I have searched around here a bit and found some useful information so far. Most everyone recommends the OEM headlights which is what I would prefer myself as I like to keep things factory as much as possible, but they are expensive at my dealership. I was linked to a page where they are listed for around 700ish and also was told in a pm that some people find them for around 1200. I would get them for 1200 over the other two for sure if I could find a deal like that.

the OEM LED headlights are not plug and play, you will need a special wiring harness

Lol, ya, I've had a few lol, mine's an OR but cement is by far the best color, enjoy it, they are addictive / hard to get a way from but already talking to my dealer about a 2022 Tundra. Have fun modding yours!
