So if you got hood stiffeners and the single strut mod, would you have clearance to operate the prop rod? I understand those struts get tired, or the shaft seal dries and binds :goingcrazy:, so having these supports in series would allow a blend of ease and robustness.

@TacoTime55 I hope you get good sounds from your airbox

Holy cow... I step away from my post for a short time and this thread blew up. As for all you guys saying to stick with the original prop stick, if like to switch because there's times when in the engine bay and the prop stick is flat out just in the way.

To those who were actually helpful... I thank you for your information.

    Agreed!

Pitching is what wins games...Philly's first 2 pitchers have been phenomenal.

I have the Redline Tuning struts. I have a 2017 TRD Sport with manual. They fit fine.

Regardless of style you get, if you have to drill holes to mount them, make sure you treat the holes with some paint or similar sealer to prevent rust. I used a self etching primer and then top coat paint using a cotton swap to apply it.

For the people in this thread commenting without reading replies to OP.

TRD Off Road 6MT trucks require spacers for the clutch master cylinder reservoir to clear the strut. From Spiker, the spacers are an additional cost.

    ...too much shit to list.
But but but @Horseshoez said this is just a Friday thread, and he does’t buy it, and things like the master cylinder are irrelevant.

Can't comment, mine is a 2011 with a prop rod but maybe when I turn 78 in Jan. I might need one, so far I'm still able to lift the hood.

I see 2 mounting points for the reservoir on the driver's side; I see it on my engine bay photo too.

The OR has a different set up Master Cylinder than the Sport.

Still...it would be nice if someone had a photo with struts installed on an OR, manual.

2nd and 3rd Gen hoods are different. My 2017 hood is heavier than my old 2007 hood.

If it was me, I'd get one strut operation on the passenger side. Then move on. There is one strut option for Tacomas which is why some people installed accessories in engine bay which is why either side of the struts may not be able installed because stuff is in the way.

As stated by others, the fender mounted clutch reservoir gets in the way of our hood strut kits, so a ~1/2" spacer is required to provide the needed clearance.
