So i got a 2010 access cab 4x2 and w/o the convenience package, so no keyless entry. No big, but if later down the road it starts to bug me, what's my best bet at just a cheap keyless entry? I don't want anything fancy like an alarm or remote start, just a fob. Can i do it myself? How much would it cost for parts and labor at a shop? Is there an OEM option? Thanks.

Do you have Power locks? Either way, it would be cheaper to get a basic alarm system w/keyless entry installed. Avoid the stealership and check out a few local mobile electronic shops. You should be able to get a basic alarm w/keyless entry installed for under $300. If you are not familiar with installing alarms/relays, why take a chance on screwing up your new truck? I spent $300 on my Autopage w/remote start and LCD remote and I've been very happy with it..Good luck..

Yeah i got power lock. And i'm trying to keep this around or under $100. I shouldn't have to pay over $200 to be able to unlock my car standing 20ft from it.

I got an autopage RF-360 or something like that for $160 installed at a local shop. There is one alarm more basic than mine which doesn't come with a siren and that's $100 installed. If you buy it online, they're like $30 but installation means everything!
