My OME HD + AAL are in a W shape now. Im right at 650-700lbs constant weight with GFC, steel HC bumper, dual jerry cans, and a 35" spare.

I have Deaver Stage 3 waiting to go on.

The OME weren't horrible in the few years that I've owned them.

Pic is full stuff + camping gear:

About 24.5” driver just over 25” passenger. I do have Archive garage hammer hangers too…I think they provide 1/4” lift as well.

Do the Hellwig allow you to retain stock ride height as well?

I'm on a 2016 TRD Off-Road, not looking to have a lift, only looking to maintain stock ride quality, but increase carrying capacity - as you said.

I pretty sure you read my write up on the 2 links I provided on the first page. My advice to you is to measure your center hub to fender before and then tighten the hellwig u-bolts to line up with that...it won't be much. Once you have them on, you don't need to jack up the truck to adjust the nuts on the u-bolts with a racket.
And if you have the budget, I would replace the factor bump stops while have them off the leafs for the install. There are several other aftermarket brands many members swear by and I am sure any of them are way better than the OEM hockey pucks the Tacomas come with.

Good luck and let us know how it turned out.

"I am still trying to find the sweet spot on them....I had them tighten down a lot when I first installed, and the rear end was noticeably stiffer. I drove over my usual Rail Road tracks that always make me hit my bump stops...and they did not hit. It raised the rear about 1"
So I loosened them up and rear was back to "stock feel" (and height), but now I hit the bump stops on the RR tracks. So I am still tightening a little each day, trying to find the spot where it isn't stiff and I don't hit my bump stops. But even the Stiffness isn't that bad...I am just picky.
Overall very happy with them...just waiting to carry something heavy...but nothing planned in the immediate future."

I had some general spring HD leafs put on. Works good for what I do which is load her up with firewood and haul it out of the trails. OME 884/5100 in front and a full bed of green hardwood sits me level. Pic wasn’t quite a full load but it was all green white oak which is heavy as heck. A freighted load of rock maple leveled me. Works great and price was like $5-600
