Hey guys, new to posting here but been lurking for quite some time. Long story but quick read:

DCLB TRD OR with decked system and sport hiliner shell. Should be around 400lbs constant weight unloaded. Only plan to use it for mild off-roading, no rock crawling or anything too technical.

heard bad things about aftermarket leaf packs with these king rears 25001-121 non adjustable. But it’s a little late for that as the kings are coming in. With that much constant weight, what options do I have for a leaf pack (sagging rear with the shell and decked boxes) that won’t top out the Kings all the time? Don’t want to have to rebuild them more than I need to.

Should I be calling deaver and asking more questions? Maybe @HeadStrong Off-Road can chime in here? Thought about just running the U402 stage II system and calling it a day, but too scared I’ll be wrecking the shocks in short order.

Great leaf pack and won't hurt the shocks as long as you get an appropriately sized bump stop.

@Bertw192 Thanks for chiming in. Any recs on a bump stop that you’d throw in there? Looks like I’ll be needing something quite a bit longer than the stock rubber currently there.

Durobumps get my vote. I've got the 4.25" on the rear axle with a U402 stage I and ADS 2.5" shocks. They're top notch.

Really appreciate the input. I think I’ll go that route. From the looks of it it seems that they’ll pair just fine with the standard travel King’s (going to install with factory 2” setup). At 2 inches instead of 2.5 you think the the 3.5” durobumps would be better? Thinking with all of that increased weight I’m unlikely to get the full 2” from the Deaver/king setup anyway. But unwilling to go deaver III because I feel that would be overkill and give insane rake.

I went 4.25" to play it safe and don't mind hitting the bumps (they squish a lot). You'll certainly get 2" out of the Deavers, even with the 400 lbs. I temporarily had stage II's with 300 lbs of sand in the bed, over the axle... I had over 2" of lift.

Probably better safe than sorry then. I’ll go with the 4 and a quarters and call that a day. You pick up an extended brake line at your heights? Or were you able to get away with stock? Think I’ll probably get that taken care of too considering the consequences are quite spectacular for such a cheap mod.

I played it safe and extended them too. It's close, if not required. Makes installing the leaf packs easier, as you can fully drop the axle.
