What's everyone's opinion/experience with leveling kits. Had one on my 03 prerunner and was happy with the clearance. 285/75/16 rubbed a small amount once i got the plastic on the inside cut out, but looked good and did the job when in the hills. Ultimately I want to do a suspension lift, but gotta work a little OT and save for that. For the time being, I want to do a 3 inch in the front, 1 in the rear so that I can get a larger tire. Truck is stock right now and it's killing me, I need to get some mods going. This one will break the ice and get me going to get everything else moving forward with my build. Looking for a good quality, easy (easier) to install kit and best deal out there, anything that will help quicken my search and purchase. Oh btw it's a 2013 double cab with off road package. Thanks!

A leveling kit just brings the front up about 1.25" or so to level the front with the stock rear.

Lifting the front 2.5-3" would be considered a Lift, since to make the truck have level stance or slight factory rake you would also need to lift the rear.

There are a lot of options from budget to high dollar/high performance when it comes to 2.5-3" lift. For a newer truck like yours, I would suggest an Add-a-leaf out back. For the front, Bilstein 5100s are a great way to get lift, improved performance, and not spend a whole ton.

I'm looking the same thing, something easy and not a full blown lift, just to help out with the added load of adding a 2" hitch to the front about 48# and a rod rack for fishing, about 60-80# or more.
Was thinking about something inline with a 1/2" spacer, it would level back to spec or so with the added load and maybe level the truck as in looks without the basket and rod rack being there.

Looking at the 1/2-3/4" spacer both you need to take the spring and shock apart to add longer bolts. The 1/4" does not need the longer bolts and looks like it could be easy to install.

The main reason not being adding any bigger tires, or really hard offroading with it.

    Any thoughts..
I know from all my reading the "lifts" with spacers are bad in the 2-3" range spacers, what about the smaller ones like some on here sell? Is there a safe range?
