Here are great video to help you understand what is involved in an IFS lift. There is another video by the same person about lift myths that is worth a watch too.

Not to hijack this thread BUT, @Ozzy84 what were your symptoms? I installed the Bilstein 5100’s with the front on the 4th perch and a rear AAL and have a vibration at 23 and 48mph. I installed the carrier bearing and front diff drop kits with the 5100’s. Took the front diff drop off, test drove - vibration still there; took the carrier bearing kit off - vibration still there. The stumper is even in 4WD I have the vibration still. Figure I will get an alignment and see if it still exists then.

BUT to contribute to this thread, other than the vibration the 5100’s are a HUGE improvement over the stock (SR) suspension!

I am not doing a level, I am lifting... Eibach Pro Truck 2.0 kit with 1" rear blocks. I have the kit. It will go in on March 8th. I preferred that the front was an adjustable coilover style and can be adjusted on the truck. No clip system to have to disassemble if I needed to make an adjustment. I also liked that it comes pre-assembled and is a true bolt in.

This sounds like a good option. How much was this kit? Is it hard to install without a hoist?

Aaaaaahhhhhh! Thank you. That makes sense. Honestly reading all of the threads, including this one, about leveling these trucks, just makes me want to buy the Toyota kit and pay the dealership to install it (I use a rare good dealership) as I'm not looking for a big lift and don't plan on running anything but the stock tire size.

Yup, it’s a simple way to go.
Pick the height you want, install the shocks, and re-align the front end.
I think I went with the third perch step which was 1.1” higher?

I don’t think the Bilstien rear shocks do any lifting. They’re just an upgrade from stock. My truck was new so I didn’t replace those.

And I still get a nice ride.

Yeah no doubt I'd be overpaying. $1500+labor is stout for a minor suspension upgrade. I've read a lot about the kit and nothing I've seen has identified which Bilstein shock they went with. It does keep the factory warranty intact, which is nice, but not something that means too much to me. I'll check out the option of putting 5100's at each corner. Thanks!

It was just under $1000 US for it, after exchange ect, ect... it was 3 bushels of oats, my left testicle, 2 sheep, my first and third born and a bunch of Canadian Tire money. Installation will be a couple jack stands and a jack. Should be be pretty straight forward.

I bought it on sale. Also, it said it was out of stock when I bought. I called and they said it would be a month but I received it 3 weeks later.

I have been waiting patiently for the weather to warm up a bit to get these installed. March 8th can't come soon enough.

Edit: I also purchased the rear blocks from Eibach.

Does this kit come with blocks for the rear? Or just shocks and front coilovers?

Just the front lift and rear shocks. I also purchased the blocks. Sorry, didn't mention that in the post.

The 5100 are adjustable in ride height up to 2” if in Ima not mistaken. The higher the lift the harsher (to a degree) the ride is.
