Toytec sells good kits, old man emu by ARB is very popular here. Spacers aren't your best option. Most cases you will need to do some modifications/triming to prevent 33" tires from rubbing even with a 3" lift

"best" is subjective. it all comes down to how much you want to spend

everyone says to stay away from spacers, not coils

I just installed the ome lift on my truck from toytec and I love it I'm running 285/65r18 and only had to trim a little bit of my fender liner. I'm very happy with the lift so far I do not off road my truck tho I have another truck for all that.

    You 2wd or 4x4?

If 2wd get lift spindles. If 4x4 expect a rough ride to get the height you want with the truck you have, not much weight there.

5100s with AAL is a good plan, one step better would be to use aftermarket coils. You can also upgrade to a full leaf pack instead of a AAL. New upper control arms are also a good upgrade. You said if i went 4 i would prob be fine, do you mean 4" of lift? That would leave you with very little downtravel and wouldnt be a good idea. Anything over 3" would be a drop bracket lift

Lol, now your at $1500-$2000 bucks. You might not need all the things i listed. If your really interested in going with "the best" get some high end coilovers like icons or fox's. as far as coils with 5100s you can get old man emu 884s or 885s. 885s alone will probably give you about 3" of lift, or you can go with eibach coils.

what im in the process of doing to my 2010 access cab is the 5100s all around with ome 885 coils and 2 inch AAL in the rear with 285/75/16 tires, sits right at 3 and minor trimming for no scraping. if you have just single cab you would probably still get the 3 inches with the 884s or even eibach coils. good luck!

Would a coilover be better than a coil and 5100s?
