Saw Tool a couple years back and they blew me away, but in a more intimate smaller venue like the Pageant in St. Louis ya gotta see the Black Crowes!

Pink Floyd brought the Wrath of God down on the audience!!!!

I've seen many of the others listed (Tool, U2, Rush, etc.) and they were great too. Countless "good" shows as well.

    Unexpected greats:
Skid Row (Yeah, I know. I thought they were gay too but they wrecked it.)
    Living Color
    Beastie Boys
    Black Crows

    Unexpected disappointments:
    Grateful Dead
    Nirvana

Ive seen rap live couple times, for example voodoo fest. I saw juvenile live (he sucked) lil wayne (he sucked). Outkast is not rap btw,
they are more hip hop and funk but ok.

I saw Snoop at a Lolapalooza. He was pretty entertaining especially considering I'm not a fan of rap.

Saw Pennywise way back during the first warp tour w/ nofx, mighty mighty bostones and rancid, awesome show. NOFX have alway been a good time IMO.

Best live show I ever saw was NIN downward spiral tour.
