What are the best locking storage units?
I am guessing there is many, such as:
    -center console
    -behind backseat
    -under backseat
    -bed cubbys

The cheapest seems to be Hooke Road although not as high quality.
MobTown used to make bed cubby ones but went out of business.
Isn't there a popular thread/guy on here who makes and sells them for the bed cubbys?

What has everyone done about this?
Have people installed them, then removed/replaced the key lock cylinders with new matching ones to simplify your life and only have one key to operate them?

I already have way too many keys on my keyring/chain dangling around making noise and kind of want to simplify it. Key for this, key to that. Key to locking gas cap so nobody siphons my gas. It's too much...
I can't imagine getting a couple more locking cubbys for the bed and then having even more keys, different key to each one, instead of just the same...
Kind of defeats the purpose of easy access if needed, if you've got a bazillion keys not knowing which goes where...

I like to keep shit in the truck sometimes, namely safety and recovery gear, and where I live break-ins are common. So I think it would be a good idea for things to be lockable. Because if anyone manages to get in the window then it's Free.99 discount field day...
Even though it isn't the most expensive shit. Like:
    -hitch lock for when towing
    -hitch
    -air compressor
    -tire deflators
    -recovery hooks
    -GPS
    -whatever else I'm forgetting

I'll do my own research and that will include comparing Hooke Road because obviously they're byfar usually the cheapest and most affordable
but that also usually comes with lower quality.
And if you look at the construction of how for example, their console lock bolts in ($50) vs. TuffyBox or whatever those others ones are, those look sturdier and even have memorizable PIN code option vs. key... But they're $300

At some point I want to build a Tacoma-oriented tool kit (trail repairs, etc.) to keep in the truck. Not wanting to get a whole big truckbed toolbox because that would take up bed space and make it even harder to camp in.
But again, just ends up being more shit to store and hopefully secure/lock.
