I see this thread is long dead, but I am searching for the same thing as the OP. What I have found is the AVS "interceptor" is not available for a 2000 Tacoma. The AVS Bugflector 2 is just a strait across bug deflector, not formed to the shape of the hood, and not very attractive. I did however accidentally order the AVS Bugflector 2 for the 2000 4runner. This guard IS contoured for the hood. However it does not fit correctly on the underside of the hood. instead of the six mounting points into plastic inserts, only the two outside holes will line up. Two was enough. I happened to have some stainless machine bolts that actually"threaded" into the factory holes where the plastic inserts go. I put some rubber washers on to help with vibrations, and BAM! it worked great………..except I used some blue Loctite on the threads. Loctite destroys plastic making it brittle and shattering the area it comes into contact! I am ordering another BF2 for the 2000 4Runner, this time i will tack weld a couple of nuts over the two mounting holes so I have more thread to catch. No Loctite this time! lol The picture is of the AVS BF2 (2000 4Runner model #25029) mounted on my 2000 Tacoma extra cab 4X4.

Mine. Was on the truck when I got it. Really like it. No chips on my hood and no rocks ever hit my windshield.

I got the AV bug deflector II. I think it flows well with the lines of the truck

I believe the OP had a 2000 Tacoma. If he ordered the BF2 for a 2000 Tacoma it would not have those curves in it, it would just be pretty much strait across.

I'm looking for one to put on my 03 Tacoma. A school bus backed into my truck and I had to have the grill and hood replaced. This time I'm keeping my hood chip free. The new paint looks great!

I like the Westin Wade. Sits low to the hood, mounts using existing holes. Can squeeze a microfiber cloth under it to clean. IMG_20211008_155245614~3.jpg

Westin Wade on Amazon. Those look fantastic. I had one on my 04, I should have taken it off before the insurance totaled it.
